I received my Aoyue 701 in short time and in good condition. It works great for what I am using it for. Which is desoldering printed circuit boards. Very poorly written manual. And if you are going to use this product a lot consumable parts are IMPOSIBLE to find. Good luck. Over all product performs very well and heats up fast and desolders quickly.

The solder station works well. This is an unbelievable value for the money! Of course, it obviously is not built as "pretty" as some as the more expensive units but who cares.. the vacuum pump works well, it heats fast and maintains tempurature well. My only gripe with the station is the solder iron stand.. that sucks. It should be much heavier and have a spring type guide to help insert the hot iron. Other than that, make the purchace.. you won't be sorry!

Received this product, set it up within minutes, and it did exactly what i needed it to do. It has made short work of several projects that I was dreading doing. Highly recommend.

I bought the 701 for a home/hobby project that required quite some de-soldering. First impressions of the Ayoue: br /-Solid build br /-Well packed br /-Comes with replacement tips, filters etc. br / br /Initial dislikes: br /-A scratch on case br /-Missing trimmer cap br /-User manual could improve br / br /It looks like Ayoue lacks a little with their quality control. However working with the 701 is fun: br /-De-soldering works great br /-Nice feel (handling) of the de-soldering gun br /-Gun is easy to use (compared to Weller foot pedal) br / br /Dislikes during use: br /-Iron holder a little cumbersome (holder for pump-gun is OK) br /-Iron handle gets warm (compared to Weller) br /-Tossing pumped solder is difficult br /-Solder reservoir is too small br / br /All in all, at that price, the Ayoue is unbeatable. If you are on a budget and need a de-soldering station, the 701 is the way to go. I would buy it again. br / br / br /

The Aoyue 701 does a great job removing solder from printed circuit boards. The soldering/desoldering feature adds a lot of functionality to the unit. It compares in quality and features to similar units costing several times as much. Without doubt, the Aoyue 701 is a terrific value.
