2 out of 5 stars Hot Choice!   November 22, 2008

Good product for the removal of small weeds in crushed rock and hard to reach places.Found that the crimped hose clamps leaked ...this could be a safety hazard. One end of the hose actually blew off. Lucky there was no flame at the time. Be prepared to replace your clamps on the hoses.

The torch works like they say it will. We use it to burn weeds.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Buy   July 25, 2008

Propane 'Turbo Torch' - 3 Nozzles - Turbo-Blast Trigger - 60" Hose br / br /I am delighted with the "Turbo Torch." I use it only for cremating weeds that grow in my gravel paths and will probably use it to light the charcoal grill. Although there were no instructions, as many others have noted, it was simple to operate. [Perhaps the seller should write a brief instruction note and include it in the shipment.] After a couple of trys, I learned how to keep it going and vary the flame. For me, the smallest nozzle is adequate; however the choice of three makes it totally versitle. And the price is fabulous.

Needed a torch to kill weeds. This item was competitively priced and arrived promptly from etoolscity, well packed. As other reviewers have noted, there are absolutely no instructions. It is was not difficult to hook to my propane tank, but no instructions on lighting or adjusting the valve. The connection will only work with larger refillable propane tanks, like those that come with barbeque grills, which are not very portable. After playing with this for a few minutes and trying all the three nozzles, I was unable to keep the torch lit for more than a few seconds. There should be directions with this. Pay the extra amount to get one with an auto-lighter and some instructions, and a fitting that will accept smaller propane cylinders. This may be better for melting snow, etc. if you can keep it lit but I cannot recommend for spot control of weeds around the average home.
