Great product April 17, 2008 G. Herrick (St Augustine, FL USA) Great product, as long as you know to use it, softening the wax makes it very easy to usem, the scrapper and buffer makes it invisable and it only takes a few second a whole.
Excellent Product! Fast and easy to use. December 4, 2007 J. Steiner (S) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
You need to heat up a very small area of the wax block with a lighter. br /I hold a BBQ lighter up to a corner of the block for a SECOND or TWO. (Don't let it drip, if it is dripping the heat has been on too long.) br /Remove a very small amount of the softened wax with the corner of the plastic scraper included in the kit. br /Press this drop of soft wax into the hole or crack to be filled. br /If it stays soft you can work it back and forth a little. br /Scrape off excess wax and buff with pad. br /I keep a small metal blade in the kit to clean the plastic scraper and return the excess wax to the block.
There is nothing soft or fast about Softwax from Fastcap! March 9, 2007 C. R. Wehr 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
Unless I am missing something, and I don't that is possible as there are only 4 simple steps for application, I am completely dissatisfied with this product. First, it is not 'soft' wax, it is hard like a crayon. You rub it on like a crayon, but it is hard getting the wax to fill the nail hole and as you rub it on, it gets all over the wood - that is step one. The last three steps envolve removing the excess wax. Maybe if you only had one nail hole to fill you would be satified with Softwax, though I find that questionable. Unfortunately, our house is under construction and it would take forever to fill and clean the surface around every nail hole in all the trim work using this product. One star is one star too much for Softwax!
