Product Description
The Mail Chime tells you when your mail has arrived. No more wasted trips to the mailbox in cold and wet weather. Simply mount the sensor on your mailbox door using double face tape (included) and plug the receiver into an electrical outlet anywhere in your home. When the mailbox door is opened, the sensor on the mailbox door sends a wireless signal to the Mail Chime in your home. The Mail Chime then alerts you by flashing a bright red LED light and four beeps that your mail has been delivered. It's the perfect solution for the Deaf, hard-of-hearing, the blind, low vision, individuals who find it difficult to walk, pregnant women, the elderly or people who are just plain busy! Comes with Mail Chime Receiver, sensor with 12-volt A23 battery installed, AC adapter, double-faced tape and instructions. Mail Chime measures 3-1/2" wide by 1-5/8" high. Receiver measures 1" high by 4-1/8" wide by 3-3/8" deep.

5 out of 5 stars mail chime   September 3, 2008
metalhead (TN)
We bought this installed it last night and tried it out it works really good we got one of these because we have a lot of packages that come and we have one package stolen one time around Christmas Time a few years ago i love how it also acts as a security alert if you've already brought your mail in how it lets you know if somebody might be messing around and opening your mailbox to catch them in the act i can't understand why some people that review this item about how loud the chime is i'm glad that it's loud like if you're in the other room or if you're far away from the blinking light the chime will let you know for me the louder the better lol if the screws are too tiny all you have to do is go out and get a screwdriver at least you'll have one when you need one for things that have tiny screws lol get this thing because it really works great.

5 out of 5 stars Works Great For Us   April 10, 2008

No more wasted trips to the mail box, and this makes it easy for me to get the mail before the mailman's even left our box... Much more peace of mind... I'm getting one for my parents.

1 out of 5 stars Bum Deal   February 13, 2008

Instructions were non instructional and when I finally figured out how to install it in my mail box it worked two times and then quit working. A great way to throw away 40 to 50 dollars.

1 out of 5 stars Very disappointed in product   January 7, 2008

I purchased this item for my ederly parents for christmas hoping it would help them out. Well the item only worked correctly once. It ended up going off at all hours of the night and we had trouble w/ the reset button. There are no tree's or anything in the way between the house and mailbox to interfere with it. I have tried for a week now to contact the seller I purchased from and have not had any response as of yet.

2 out of 5 stars Foliage and distance too great for unit.   September 17, 2007

l tried the mail chime, but the distance to the mailbox is just under 300' and there are enough trees lined up to prevent it from working. l tested it by walking toward the building while someone was inside listening for the alarm. At about 285' it worked as l moved forward and away from behind the tree, but unfortunately that won't work for my application. For straight forward, unobstructed use it should be fine. Having said that, l never actually had an opportunity to see it in action.
