Product Description Nike Bauer Vapor XXV Ice Hockey Skates - The Nike/Bauer Vapor XXV has replaced the Vapor XIX for 2007. Not just a new look - but the line has been improved. The thermoformed (ribs) which provide the support and structure to the boot have now been added to the rear area of the skate - forming an X - keeping the boot stiffer in the heel/ankle area. Fully heat-moldable, the Vapor skates now include an ergonomic plastic toecap. The XXV comes with a quick-dry grip liner, a 2-piece felt tongue with a plastic metatarsal insert, a moisture-wicking footed, a full-composite outsole and TUUK Lightspeed2 stainless steel holder/runner. Tongue: 2-Piece felt form-fit, Liner: Quick-dry grip liner, Recommended Use: Intermediate Skaters, Outsole: Perforated full texallium composite, Blade: Stainless Steel Runner, Model Year: 2008, Product ID: 104911

top notch November 17, 2008 J. Manahan I just purchased another pair of Bauer Vapor and absolutely love them so far. I had been wearing a pair of XV and just bought a pair of the XXV and have been more than satisfied with the comfort after only one heating. The previous pair I owned I had to heat a couple of times and they were still tough breaking in, which is why I put off buying this new pair because I hate breaking in new skates. I have been very pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the XXV's are after one heating. I didn't realize how much support my old skates had lost until I wore these with the plan to switch between them, but I don't see that happening based on how comfortable these are.
great skates! July 31, 2008 Easton Hawk 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased these skates last year and I have been very impressed with them thus far. They are by far the lightest skates I have ever owned, and although they aren't the lightest skates available, they are definantly hgh end. If you're used to a bauer skate, then these will feel very simmilar. They have proven very durable, I'm sure I'll grow out of them before they break. They look sweet too! The only con is that the inside of my big toes were irrated by them untill I calused, but no harm done. I think part of the problem was caused because of the way my feet were positioned when they baked them. Overall they are great skates, i would definantly recommnd them.
