Just in time for baseball season March 17, 2008 Anthony G. O'Malley Jr. (Center Valley, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this product in late 2007 as a gift for my son so that "he" could learn how to restore his favorite baseball glove - which has seen a lot of game play. br / br /Most everything you may need to re-stitch the lacing of a glove is there. The kit also comes with fairly insightful (but generic) instructions to re-lace the glove. Not every glove is the same - but the guidelines give you good enough general directions on glove repair even if your glove shape differs from the one used in the instruction guide. br / br /On actual use of the kit, the task fell to "Dad" (me) (hey, my son's a 13 year old -- typical teenager). It was actually a fun project. My only complaint was that the threading tool did not hold up too well. Half way through the re-lacing, the wood handle separated from the metal stitching rod causing some delay in finalizing the project. However, I managed to jerry-rig the tool to finish the job. br / br /The results were wonderful. br / br /My reason for "4 stars" rather than "5" was the failure of the stitching tool - but even more so because of the manufacturer's (not the seller) poor attitude and total failure to stand behind its product after I voiced my concerns with the failure of the above-referenced tool. They pretty much took the attitude that "it is your problem bub, not ours!" br /
