Amazon.com As the daylight lingers longer each day, the more carnivorous folk start salivating in anticipation. Barbecue season approaches, liberating meat lovers from the less-flavorful pan-fried steak or bland poached chicken breasts. Likewise, the vegetarians in the family rejoice in the prospect of grilled summer squash or roasted beets and corn, rather than settling for another head of iceberg lettuce and canned beans. For juicy burgers and veggie kabobs at home or at the lake, industry leader Weber offers their portable Q-100 gas grill. The propane grill employs an 8,500-BTU stainless-steel burner to heat its 189-square-inch cooking area. Weber crafted the grill's lid and body in tough cast aluminum with a sturdy glass-reinforced nylon frame. The grill ignites at the push of a button for reliable lighting, and an infinitely adjustable burner valve with a high-quality regulator makes it easy to control the heat. Meat sizzles on the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, while drippings follow the drip ducts to reduce potential flare-ups and enable quicker cleaning. Other highlights include a flavorizer system integrated into the cooking grate, a removable catch pan, and a large weather-resistant lid handle. The grill operates on a standard 14.1- or 16.4-ounce propane cylinder. Propane does not come included, but Weber does enclose a Weber Q cookbook of recipes and inspiration. The grill measures 16 by 27 by 23-1/2 inches with the lid open and carries a five-year limited warranty. --Jessica Reuling

perfect tailgating grill July 8, 2008 we have gotten so much use out of our weber portable gas grill. It is absolutely perfect for tailgating!
Wonderful Q July 5, 2008 This is my first grill and I'm glad I chose the Q. I've been using it a few times a week. it's the perfect size for single people. Worth every penny.
It takes about 5-8 minutes to reach 400-450. Buy yourself a Grill Surface Thermometer so you know when the grill is ready to use. It sits on top of the grill grate. link:OvenChek Cooking Surface Thermometer Don't bother buying those fancy BBQ grill tool sets. They are too long. Regular sized tongs and food flippers will work just fine.
I have the hose adaptor and a full size propane tank. I'm thinking about buying a second tank because I'm using the grill so much.
Look no further... July 2, 2008 I live in a major US city and have been looking for a grill that would work on my postage stamp sized back deck. I have found one. This WeberQ is exceeding my expectations every day. While I have not coughed up the $$ for a full sized bottle yet, I am still cooking on the very first 1 lb green bottle I purchased a month ago. I grill a couple of times a week and I cannot complain one iota about this beauty's performance. It may not get as hot as a full sized grill but it handles simple grilling with ease and I don't care to cook with high heat anyway. I can't wait to break it out at my first tailgate event. I recommend the WeberQ 100 to any city dweller looking for a grill that doesn't take up a lot of space and offers the utility of a full sized gas grill.
Great Grill!!! June 27, 2008 Great compact sturdy grill. I've had this grill for over a month now and have had no problems at all... I highly recommend also picking up the cart for around 50.00
Weber Q-100 June 26, 2008 We really like the Weber Q-100. It's the perfect size for the 2 of us - and we like the gas over charcoal.
We live at the ocean where items left outside feel the effects of the salt air. The Q-100 can be brought inside for storage - or we can pack it in the car for grilling at the beach or parks.
The folding cart is very useful and a great design.
