Product Description AMERICA'S FAVORITE PROTEIN DRINK! When MUSCLE MILK was first introduced, CytoSport scientists attempted to emulate one of nature's most anabolic, complete, and balanced foods: human mother's milk. MUSCLE MILK broke the mold, creating a new category of protein supplements while setting a new standard for both taste and performance. As a result, muscle milk has become America's favorite protein drink. But the science of human metabolism is never static; our understanding of its complexity is expanding everyday. Recently the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC) published a report that updated America's Nutritional goals. Cytosport scientists have evaluated the report and have updated MUSCLE MILK to keep pace with these new developments. No matter what you ultimate goal may be building muscle mass or sculpting a toned, muscular physique-controlling caloric intake and specific physical activity go hand-in-hand with managing your total weight. When it comes to defining weight control, calories do count. Most Americans need to reduce the number of calories they consume. Since lipids or fats contain approximately twice the caloric energy carbs, minimizing the total fat content in MUSCLE MILK-while maintaining the overall fat-burning benefits of LEANLIPIDS-helps to accomplish this goal. * Picture may be of different size or flavor

Best Protein Powder with a great selection of flavors August 28, 2008 GBSrdh (LHP FL) The one problem I had with protein powders was how lumpy the mixes were or the aftertaste. Well, I have been using this protein powder for a few years now, the list of flavors are great and I love how well this powder mixes (I recommend the turboshaker). I use it for a quick midmorning pick-me-up, after my rigorous workouts and before bedtime. You won't be disappointed with this product.
Great Taste! August 18, 2008 Stephen Pettitt I have tried a few different protein products, and this one works well, and tastes good. It does have more fat than others, but it tastes a lot better. If your thin and trying to gain muscle and weight overall, this will work great. Be ready to buy a new tub every few weeks.
Banana is great added to oatmeal! August 2, 2008 fit_girl I've been trying to boost my protein intake with non-meat options (red meat doesn't sit well with me and one can only eat so much chicken). :-) I heard so many good things about Muscle Milk that I had to try some when I found it on sale (unfortunately not on Amazon.com). I purchased the banana because I wanted a different taste from the standard chocolate/vanilla fare out there to give some variety. My initial impression of the flavor of this powder is that of Banana laffy taffy (my favorite candy!). My favorite use for it is to stir a scoop into a big bowl of traditional (not instant) oatmeal. The powder easily dissolves in milk and water with minimal shaking and stirring. One thing I noticed that not many others have pointed out is that Muscle Milk is much lower in cholesterol than many other brands of whey powders (8 mg versus 20 mg in another name brand that I'm looking at). The formula I have also has some dietary fiber in it (hard to get enough in the modern American diet!). The only drawback to this shake is that you don't want it to sit for very long once mixed. I made a shake prior to my workout and put it in the fridge and when I grabbed it out of the fridge, crystals had formed in the shake! But other than that, Muscle Milk is excellent for meeting my nutritional goals!
Buyer beware if you have Hypertension/High Blood pressure July 29, 2008 David Williams This product does blend well and taste great but, I used this product for about two months and I noticed my blood pressure increased from the time I started using it until I stopped. I've been off the stuff for about a week and noticed a dramatic decrease in my blood pressure. I check my pressure every morning. It began to creep up slowly but it was a steady increase. So if you have any questions about whether this stuff is bad for you just check your blood pressure and see if it has increased. This is only my experience but I wanted to share it with folks trying to be healthy. You may also have the same experience I did.
Solid Protein, Good Value July 26, 2008 C. A. Kluwe (Austin, TX) This is a pretty complete quasi-weight gainer. I originally bought it just as a protein supplement but am pleasantly surprised with how much more it is for the price (essential fats, casein protein, etc.). Just two things to add not seen on this page: 1) I bought a 2.4 lb container -- the recommended serving is 2 scoops (32g of protein) with 16 servings per container. Depending on how many shakes/day you drink, this size may not last long. Of course, that can be a good thing if you're not fond of the flavor/brand. 2) I wish I had seen the nutritional info, so I'd know it was more than just protein. So here it is from the Cytosport site: [...] If you're looking for something that is simple whey powder, I'd recommend the 100% Whey Protein Gold Standard, Chocolate Mint 2 lbs from Optimum Nutrition -- simple protein, inexpensive, good taste.
