This bat is the real deal, and it will add distance to your swing. There is a reason this bat is illegal in most places. I play in a senior league, and they are allowed in a few tournaments, and if they are allowed you'll see a bunch of these bats by most all the teams. I own a regular Freak and the Ultra ll, and the Ultra will out-distance the Freak every time and it's about $75- $100 cheaper. The down side is I've seen two Ultras break in half, one of them was mine. I loaned it out a little too much I think, plus hitting it in cold weather may not be good for it. But if you have warning track power without the Ultra, it will turn you into a home run hitter.
