Editorial Reviews: Product Description StM foil blades are characterized with optimum weight apportionment and weight for fencers as well as absolute symmetry with respect to the wire axis. The bend of foil blades measured during standard SEMI FIE Technical Commission rigidity test using an 80 gram weight is 50 to 80 mm. Foil blades are manufactured with a long 170 mm grip for French handle or a short 70 mm pistol grip. StM-FIE labeled blades have been certified by the SEMI FIE Technical Commission; they are officially registered by the FIE International Fencing Federation and recommended for usage in any official competitions including World Cup stages, World Championships and the Olympic Games. StM-FIE blades were last homologated in April, 2000, with the average value of cyclic wear of 46 569 which is 2.5 times higher than the FIE norm. The blades were awarded SEMI FIE commission certificate # 0001 dated 11.05.2000.
