Product Description
There is no denying it: With the introduction of the iPod and iTunes, Apple changed the face of music. While the iPod and iTunes are user-friendly, figuring them out for the first time can be tricky. Plus, they can do way more than meets the eye. In this fully updated best-seller, award-winning author, Scott Kelby, delivers what users need to know to get up to speed fast on Apple's popular iPod digital audio players and iTunes software. br br Through full-color illustrations and simple step-by-step instructions, readers will learn all about: the brand new iPod touch, equipped with a multitouch interface, 3.5-inch widescreen display, and WiFi Web browsing; the iPod shuffle, sporting a new belt clip and new colors; the iPod nano, featuring a new glamorous square shape, video, an enhanced interface, larger and brighter display, and new colors; the iPod classic which now incorporates iTunes cover flow, enhanced interface, and a sleeker design; and the new iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, which now lets iPod users browse the iTunes Store and purchase music over a wireless connection straight onto their Apple mobile device.br br Scott also provides the basics of how to share music between Macs and PCs; sync iTunes-created playlists as well as iPod-created voice notes; burn large playlists to CDs; download and watch videos; and more. Best of all, Scott has peppered the guide with tons of time-saving tips and tricks that typically can only be gleaned through hard-won experience.

5 out of 5 stars Ipod book is good   October 30, 2008
Robert Brown (Spokane, WA)
This book is great for those who are new to ipods. I goes far beyond the directions. I highly recommend the book for any ipod owner. I gave one to a friend who has really enjoyed it.

1 out of 5 stars A waste of time   September 17, 2008

Pointless. There's absolutely nothing in the book that can't easily be found in the on-line manual. Luckely, I borrowed it at the library. Don't waste your money on this. Kelby has written a couple of good books (and some really bad ones too), this is not one of them.

Easy-to-follow instructions and photos make learning quick and easy especially if you're new to itunes. Highly recommended for those who wish to maximize use of their ipod. Great supplement to the on-line manual.

5 out of 5 stars Concise and easy to understand   August 25, 2008
Mitchell Ball (Hallandale, Florida)
This was better than anticipated. Easy and concise and a must read by all Ipod users.

1 out of 5 stars Helpful?? Not at all...   August 12, 2008
Ingrid (Rapid City, SD USA)
Honestly, I did not find this book to be one bit helpful. I personally thought it all to be redundant information. It may be of use if you are COMPLETELY technologically unaware... It's really just a waste of money. Go and buy yourself some lemonade instead. =]
