Amazon.com Review Zecharia Sitchen's IThe 12th Planet/I is the starting point on a quest that spans six books and 20 years worth of ancient aliens, genetic manipulation, and scrutiny of linguistic minutiae. If we trust Sitchen's translation abilities, we must be prepared for the imminent return of an alien race who created us some 300,0x00 years ago. IThe 12th Planet/I is perhaps the best written of Sitchin's IEarth Chronicles/I series; full of example after example of ancient Sumerian passages, astronomical observations, archaeological finds, and technological coincidences supporting his theories. The price we pay for all this evidence is a bit of a dry read at times, but the ideas Sitchin proposes are more than scintillating enough to make up for the overtly scholastic tone of his text. I--Brian Patterson/I
Product Description p Over the years, startling evidence has been uncovered, challenging established notions of the origins of life on Earth#8212;evidence that suggests the existence of an advanced group of extraterrestrials who once inhabited our world. /p p The first book of the revolutionary iEarth Chronicles/i series offers indisputable documentary evidence of the existence of the mysterious planet Nibiru and tells why its astronauts came to Earth eons ago to fashion mankind in their image. /p p The product of more than thirty years of meticulous research, iThe 12th Planet/i treats as fact, not myth, the tales of Creation, the Deluge, the Tower of Babel, and the Nefilim who married the daughters of man. By weaving together the biblical narrative with Sumerian and Babylonian clay-tablet texts, it challenges the established notions of the origins of Earth and mankind, and offers a compelling alternative history and prehistory of both. /p

History of the World, Part I November 28, 2008 Elliot Malach (Galveston, Tx) Everyone is so locked in to their paradigm that they fail to consider what the hard evidence presents. If you actually consider everything, including the Bible, with an open mind, without a pre-conceived notion of the way things should be, then the book makes a lot of sense. br / br /Sitchin supports all his theories with archeological findings, mythological stories, passages from the Bible, or all of the above. The interesting part is that this makes more sense than any of our accepted "histories" of the world. br / br /A lot of people will write this off as nothing but B.S. That's ok, but how do you explain all the contradictions in our accepted history? The Sumerians knew about the earth's precession, yet thousands of years later, the world leaders thought the earth was flat! They also knew about planets that were not even discovered by our society until the early part of the 20th Century. br / br /As Sitchin puts it, we seemed to be going backward at certain times of our existence. What is the explanation for this? The 12th planet.
Still a best selling author November 25, 2008 Roberto Alvarez (Panama) Sitchin will always be a best selling author regardless of lack of scientific evidence. New and pioneering ideas are here to stay. They confuse many of us, nevertheless they capture our interest. br /Many dislike and even hate Sitchin. Many others worship him. It is not difficult to understand his success. Look at this book, it was published many years ago, and today, right this very moment is selling like hot cakes... br /Fortunately, today there is a new wave of authors who expand the horizon of our knowledge because they back up their claims with solid material, thinkers and leading historians like Maximillien de Lafayette and J. Vallee. br /Lafayette is the newest and greatest author today. This is very funny, because it took us 50 years to rediscover him. Lafayette wrote 50 books on Anunnaki, extraterrestrials and alien life, and his ideas are sometimes more developed than Sitchin. br /Vallee is a pure scientific author who does nor write much. br /So what we have here is Sitchin and Lafayette. I like that. Ufology and parallel history are necessary to understand what traditional science cannot explain. br /
The 12th. Planet September 18, 2008 Margaret E. Hayden (estero, florida) Great service from Amazon. Just what I ordered. The author's website said the title was out of print, but Amazon had it and other titles. Thank you.

Outstanting July 11, 2008 Salim Mahdi (Cairo, Zamalek, Egypt) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Don't let the bad publicity against Mr. Sitchin influence your mind. br /Many jealous people and especially failed writers hate him. br /We all understand that. br /There is a person in America who asked the authorities to put him in jail. br /Crazy! br /Only in America people massacre others with dirty words, br /personality assassination and personal hatred. What they do? br /They are incapable of writing successful books br /so they began to throw dirt from their mouth br /and snake-style criticism. br / br /Mr. Sitchin is a remarkable writer. br / br / Respected all over the world. br / br /I collect all his books. br / br /S.
