Spans the Generations of Marvel Characters November 26, 2008 A. Ludwig A great gift for Marvel readers and a coffee table book for Marvel Families. This book brings back memories and provides helpful chronology. In the sixties, Iron Man was yellow, the X-Men were blue and yellow, and Daredevil was black and yellow. Marvel sure liked yellow.
Happy with my purchase November 23, 2008 Soulfuleyes (California) I'm very happy with my purchase. Book arrived in mint condition. Would defintely buy from your company again. Thank you very much.
Very poor, cheesy and generic new age animation November 3, 2008 Obama sucks (Chicago) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
While this book is somewhat entertaining to flip through, the new style of generic artwork and animation ruins the experience. Gone are the old type illustrations and artwork of these characters from the original artists of the 60's, 70's, 80's and even 90's. They have all been replaced by crappy updated "ultimate" style animations and CHEESY artwork that really is sub-standard in appearance. Most of these characters drawings are very simplistic in their quality and presentation. It is very difficult for old Marvel fans like me to tolerate these low quality renditions. Just not acceptable. Skip it unless you must have it.

ABSOLUTELY, DEFINITELY A MUST-HAVE FOR ALL MARVEL FANS! October 30, 2008 J. LEZONDRA (Chicago, IL USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like the average child once, I read comic books, especially marvel comic books. Marvel IMO has the most extensive comic books characters, both hero and villain, ever written. This encyclopedia will open your eyes to all of those characters, educating you on just about every little detail you need to know about them. I was truly excited (and fascinated) upon receiving this book. Although I read a lot of comic books when I was a child, I was totally unaware of the other characters. This book gave me an insight of the extensiveness of the Marvel World. It is truly a work of art. One of this books you must have (and will read from time to time).
