The SteadiStand, required for Steadicam balance and operation, fits neatly in the supplied soft carry case. With optional Low-Mode Kit the system may be inverted to easily capture those low shots near the ground. The FLYER. Steadicam is a total new design camera stabilization support system. New are the Garrett Brown designed Iso-Elastic Stabilizer Arm with unique Arm/Vest connector, large Carbon Fiber post with Low Mass Gimbal, Color 16:9/4:3 LCD Monitor and a robust Operator Vest. The FLYER will support cameras weighing 4 to 15 pounds (2.1-6.8Kg). The Iso-Elastic arm is an articulated No-Tools design that can be adjusted while supporting the camera. This patented unique design allows the Steadicam operator to place the arm in any position where it will remain. This is especially useful for -lock-off- shots. The Color 16:9/4:3 monitor, that provides good contrast from dark to light situations, is a necessary part of the overall system design. The monitor weight and location on the sled assures the operator perfect balance and ease of operation.
