This could be your cat's favorite place March 30, 2008 Pooky I have 3 cats, and they all romp around on this, but my male kitty lays on this for probably a good 12 hours a day...NOT exaggerating. We've had it many years now, and although my kitty is a little on the heavy side, this stands up to his weight and has never given us a problem. Kitties have gotten sick on this, and washing it is not a big deal either. Considering how much use this thing gets on a DAILY basis, it's an absolute must!
Fabric doesn't stay in place December 29, 2007 Aerin 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've had this product for over a year now, and it worked great when my cats were kittens. As they grew, though, and maxed out at about 11 pounds each, the fabric wouldn't stay in place; the little nubbies that are supposed to catch the fabric don't (and in some cases, the fabric has ripped) and cause the area the cat sits in to suddenly lower and a gap occurs between the window ledge portion of the frame and the material. The first time it happened, my cat's backside slid right into that gap and she got hung up there. The second time, a few moments ago, the cat managed to jump away, but that's it, it's getting taken down. I'm afraid they're going to get hung. I can see no way of securing that fabric so that it doesn't do this; it can't be tucked under the frame because it then blocks the velcro securing it to the window sill.
The only style window seat acceptable to my cat December 10, 2007 Nadine 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the 4th Cat Napper I have purchased and it is the only style of window seat I'll buy my cat. In the past the Cat Napper was always in the bedroom and my cat spent a lot of time napping on it. I was not certain of the source of my cat's interest, if it was the hammock style or the preference of sleeping in the same room as me. When I moved, I put a new platform style bed with a similar cover in the bedroom window and I put a new Cat Napper in the living room window. She started sleeping in the living room; I don't think she used the platform at all. After 2 weeks, I swapped locations. My cat returned to the bedroom with the Cat Napper. I think it is safe to say it is the hammock style that makes the difference. br / br /The cover is a pain to wash, I have to disassemble the entire perch to get it off. And the fur gets so embedded that it never does come completely clean. Of course, washing it more frequently may help. Also, my cat is 13 lbs so the velcro does not hold. Attaching it to the sill via screws prevents middle of the night crashes.
My cats love this window perch! April 24, 2007 S. Stolberg (Kent, WA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've bought several of these Flexi-Mat Catnapper window perches for my cats over the past 6+ years. My cats sit/sleep on it every day and both of them really love it! I have never had any problems with the frame breaking as another reviewer mentioned. The only issue I've had is that the fleece bed part stretches/wears out eventually, but the lifespan of the fleece is pretty good as far as I'm concerned - I think I've probably bought replacements about every 2 years or so because of this (supposedly you can just buy a replacement fleece cover from Flexi-Mat, but I've always just purchased an entirely new Catnapper.)
Your cat will love this! February 20, 2007 A. Haecherl (Marshall, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My cat loves his cat napper. He gets to look out the window, is elevated high enough to see most everything that's going on in the house and he looks pretty darn cute in it too. He's gone from trying to balance himself on the back of the couch, to hanging out in style and comfort. I'm just waiting for spring to come so I can put it in a window facing the backyard. The reasone I gave it four stars was because setting it up took a little more time than I thought, but it's not very difficult. The velcro that is used to stick the napper to the window ledge doesn't stick the best, but it's enough. I've had it for two weeks now and the cat has jumped, pounced and launched himself off of it many times and it has not fallen off yet.
