Tibetan Wind Chimes September 9, 2008 Liza The chimes were beautiful. The wood was unsanded and missing some paint. The seller provided prompt mailing.
Great for a windy location September 29, 2007 M. Williams (Oak Hill, VA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
In reponse to the rater below, you asked about a design that is more breeze-sensitive. What I have found is that you need traditional chimes (with a wide clapper sorrounded by tubes). These are quite sensitive to the slightest breeze which is good if you don't have much wind in your area. By contrast, I live in a windy area and have come to avoid chimes with a wide clapper in the middle. I look for chimes with a ball-shaped clapper or no clapper at all, which make a light, pleasant sound even in strong breezes.

This is a beautiful windchime. My wife loved it when I gave it to her. We put it up outside and waited to hear the wind-blown music. Even though there was a breeze, we didn't hear anything. Our bamboo windchime was making its usual clunking noises, but nothing from the new one. I have since heard it, but it practically takes a gale to get the sounds. By the way it does makes beautiful music in the wind. If someone has suggestions for making a windchime more sensitive to the elements I'd be glad to know. Or is the secret to buy ones made from very light weight materials.

I was very attracted to this particular wind chime when I saw it on Amazon. Once I received it, I was even more pleased. The unique Tibetan style is eye-catching and the details are nice. It makes a soothing, cavernous sound. Very nice item. I adore it.
