I ordered an acrylic suggestion box (not from Amazon) and this one; the acrylic one was twice the price and very cheap in comparison. This one was great. br / br /The lock does not have to be used. The whole unit can be mounted or easily stand alone on a desk or table (it is plenty stable), and the pen holder isn't attached until you do so (which is nice because you don't have to use it).

This study wooden box is perfect for all your suggestion box needs. It contains a pen to write suggestions, a pad of paper to write the suggestions on, and a lock so that people with competing suggestions will not steal yours from the box. br / br /The only reason I gave this item 4 stars and not 5 is the mountng method. It is very flimsy when mounted on a wall in the way they want you to. a better solution is to just get some long drywall screws and just screw them through at an angle, using the included wooded spacer so the top can still open. I've mounted several of these things and this is the best method. Or if you really trust your employees, just put this box on a desk. If it ever goes missing, take away their coffee until it is returned. I guarantee it will magically show up after that.
