Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The S-Phantom is a two channel, 48-volt phantom power supply capable of powering most any condenser microphone. The S-Phantom is a perfect solution for applications where the use of condenser microphones is desired and the mixer, recorder, PA, or amplifier to be used does not provide phantom power on the microphone inputs.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Works as described, Solidly built, Low noise (I think)   April 7, 2008

Bought this to power my first condenser mics, and it seems to work well. No increased line noise compared to the dynamic mic--actually a lot less line noise, though I expected less noise from a condenser anyway. br / br /Also, not having another phantom power unit to compare this one too--it's hard to say how quiet it could be....enough to say it's a dramatic improvement over the line noise created by the dynamic mic, and that the total noise in my system went from clearly audible at 50% volume with a dynamic mic...to barely audible at 75% volume with the condenser mics and this power unit. br / br /If your just starting to record with a condenser and you need a 48v power unit thats not real expensive, this is definitely an option, I have no regrets about buying this, it performs well, and seems well built.
