4 out of 5 stars This is a CABLE not an ADAPTER   August 22, 2008

To the reviewers saying this product doesn't work: your VGA monitor needs to accept a component signal over VGA for it to work (such as the Epson PowerLite 77c projector). Otherwise, you need a component to VGA *adapter*, which currently costs about $100 or more. This product is simply a cable, which doesn't do *any* signal conversion. Hope this helps others before they waste their money.

I bought to use with component ps3/psp a/v cables. ps3 is getting fixed, but the psp didn't output anything. On closer inspection at the component side, I discovered sets of arrows pointing out (away) from the VGA. This led me to believe it only changes vga to component and not the other way around. I hope that is not the case, or its worthless to me.

I hooked this up to an Acer 24" monitor, connected a Playstation 2 with component cable and everything has a green tint. Did the same thing hooked up tp a PS3.
