Standing Adjacent to the Grand Spiral November 5, 2008 )(aqri (AZ) The only reason I chose not to rate this any higher is simply because Reznor has come out with albums at least two stars better than this -namely The Downward Spiral and The Fragile. Standing next to these albums this EP can only earnestly reach as far as three, maybe four, stars. At no point is Broken disappointing but also at no point is it as majestic as the forementioned albums. Definately a strong footnote in the scheme of all things Nine Inch Nails. However I personally overlook Broken when I think about or want to listen to a good Nine Inch Nails record. The reason being I find myself only listening to the best of what particular bands produce and there's so much great music out there. But if you have a profound appriciation for NIN then pick this up; it's certainly a tenacious escort to their fame.
NIN's sharpest attack October 6, 2008 OneLove (so fla) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Classic stop-gap between two classic electronic releases, Broken helped balance out PHM's synthy-pop with DS's experimental terror in equal measure.
Trent rocks! June 12, 2008 CRAZOTOLOGY (Joplin, MO. (USA)) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this record!!!! Broken is probably the most aggressive NIN album yet made...verry hard hitting angry industrial metal. As always the music is amazing, verry well composed, NIN truly is an exceptional artist.

A big change from the previous CD, and what a change it is! Those who like metal and industrial are in for a treat! Too bad the CD isn't longer...
The evolution of Industrial metal May 2, 2008 aaron268 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The continued evolution of the Master of Industrial Music continues in a Faster, and Harder way than Pretty hate machine. The 2nd studio release from Nine Inch Nails who is really one man Trent Reznor.
