Lifetime Warranty that you will never need! July 17, 2008 Muddstudd (Atlanta, GA) All of the Platinum Collection pans come with a limited lifetime warranty but these pans are so durable that I doubt you will ever use it. I had this same pan that I bought from W@lm@rt for much less and I was disappointed with it from the start. It always stuck and seemed to bake uneven. So I went online, did some research and found out that Nordicware makes the same pans in different qualities. I had bought a cheap one. I ordered a Platinum from Amazon and I've not regretted it once. I have used this pan for muffins at least 50 times and I've never lost a batch to uneven baking or sticking. I have since ordered them as gifts.
Bakes Well - Does its job. July 14, 2008 McPhil Purchased this for a party. Worked as advertised and like all nordic ware bakeware, seems high quality and long lasting
Love this pan! November 25, 2007 Waletti (NJ, USA) I got this pan to make mini pumpkins for my sons' birthdays at school instead of the usual cupcake. They came out great!
Great Product! October 17, 2007 K. Everett (Texas) This pan makes great pumpkins for a fall cake. Make sure you spray it well with bakers joy or any other non stick product. Wash it by hand. It made beautiful little pumpkins for my son's first birthday party.
Received a silver colored pan instead of black. September 23, 2007 BAM 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own an old black non-stick pan in this style. I recently ordered a second one--this item. It arrived and the color is silver, NOT black as pictured and NOT black like my old one--it has an entirely different coating. br / br /I have not used this pan (purchased for a gift), so I can't compare the performance between the two finishes. I am giving this pan four stars because I love the mold shape and size. I reserved one star because I can't comment on how items release after baking with this new finish. br / br /I have ordered perhaps ten different models of NordicWare pans recently (from Amazon and Williams-Sonoma) and the pan finish (color) is a grab bag when ordering from Amazon. br / br /I have ordered a number of the NordicWare Sunflower pans in the past two months from Amazon--some arrive and are black and some are silver. It isn't that the old color was black and the new silver because I initially received black, then silver and the last two were back to the black non-stick coating. br / br /I thought the term "platinum collection" in the item description would be indicative of the pans color, but it does not appear to be so. This item did use the term "reflective" in the product description. So, perhaps this is a clue. br / br /Since many of the pans I purchased are being gifted, the non-stick finish color isn't a big issue unless one non-stick coating performs better than the other. At this writing, I have not tried cooking in any of the silver pans I have purchased so I am unable to comment on their performance. br / br /I would love to read reviews from someone who has tried baking in the NordicWare pans with the various finishes so that I can make future purchase decisions based on which pan finish offers the best finished product and releases the easiest. br / br /My OLD original plain cast aluminum bundt pan (35 years old), without any non-stick coating, has NEVER had any sticking issues and still performs perfectly! I use either butter only (very thick) or spray it with regular pan spray and then flour it. Neither of these two methods gave me 100% performance on my old black brownie pan. br / br /The original black "brownie" pan I own like this has some sticking issues, but I still love the mold shape and size and will continue to use it knowing that there may be some loss due to sticking when removing treats from the molds. br / br /Hopefully, we will hear soon from another reviewer who has tried this pan with the new finish. Perhaps NordicWare has solved the sticking problems with this new non-stick coating!
