Very good chair but arrived damaged December 3, 2008

We ordered these chairs because we already saw the actual ones at my friend's home. We knew they were of very good quality with nice finish for its price. This item is distributed through Target.com. We shopped around actual Target stores but could not find these chairs anymore so we ordered online. We ordered two sets, total of 4 chairs. They arrived totally beaten-up by UPS delivery. The boxes were completely worn out with multiple tape-fix. All four chair had cracks in their frames - same spots where the frame has some nice curvature. Apparently this folding chair has been stacked up and stamped on until the frames got broken. I had to spend two hours to repack these broken chairs and taping the broken boxes and dragged them to FedEx, hoping they, unlike UPS, will not give any extra damage to these unfortunate chairs upon returning. The returning process went pretty smooth and I had all my money back including the shipping fee promptly. I really wanted this chair but will never buy from Amazon.com.

These chairs went perfectly with the table (which came slightly damaged) and are absolutely a great value. They fold up and out easily and are very elegant.

I bought these chairs based on the excellent reviews - yes! I rely on the customer reviews! - and I am happy to agree, these chairs are wonderful. They do look great at the dining room table, are very sturdy and very comfortable, especially for those of us who are taller. Well worth the very affordable price. I also liked the folding chairs from Brookstone, but didn't want to shell out double the amount of money for chairs I only use a few times a year. I was a bit concerned about the long shipping estimate, it could have taken 2 weeks, but the chairs delivered within 5 working days of placing the order. Based on the quality of the chairs I'm going to order the table too. If you are thinking of these chairs, I feel very confident in recommending them to you!

These chairs are awesome. I needed some extra seating for the holidays and these chairs looked right at home alongside my Ethan Allen dining room set. They are sturdy easy to use. br / br /When folded, they do take up more room than regular metal folding chairs, but that is a small price to pay for such great pieces.
