This little salt box is perfect for what I wanted. It fits nicely on the top of my stove and with the sliding top is easy to access. The quality is excellent. It is fairly small, but for what I was wanting, just the right size.

I saw something like this on one of the cooking shows and decided to purchase it. First off, it arrived cracked and second, it was too deep and when you got half way down the bowl - your fingers didn't fit and you had to keep on filling it after it reached half way down. I threw it out after 2 weeks of use. Waste of time and wasn't impressed with the workmanship.

Like my title says, this salt box is too small. You really don't get an idea of the size until you see it. I don't have what I would call large hands, but this was hard to get a decent sized pinch out of, even when it was filled to the top. Buy the large one, it's just right. Unless you need one for backpacking.

Finally, I can better gauge the amount of salt I want to add to a meal. It gives me a much better feel for how much salt is being added. This box is big enough, yet is out of the way next to my stove. It has a nice design also. Love it!
