5 out of 5 stars Perfect for cocktails!   January 8, 2009
Jon Leopold (Chicago, IL)
These things are great! You can easily remove one cube at a time (and yes, it's difficult to dump the whole tray at once, if that's what you want), and they're the perfect shape for a rocks glass. Since they're bigger, they melt more slowly, which is ideal for drinks. They also work fine in my boston shaker. br / br /With filtered water, you can even get close-to-crystal-clear cubes, which look fantastic in a glass. I hear with distilled water you can get totally clear cubes, but I haven't tested that out. They're also dishwasher safe, so they're easy to clean. I love these things.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was searching at stores for!!!   January 8, 2009
J. Pike (Mentor, Ohio)
I had been searching for this. My husband wanted to put coffee in it to freeze. So, when his coffee is too hot he grabs a coffee icecube and it does not dilute his cup of coffee. He needed something that would not melt when you put the hot coffee in it (impatient). Works wonderful and is a masculine color.

5 out of 5 stars My husband and I love these!   January 2, 2009

I love these trays and have thrown out all of my old hard plastic trays. I even went back and purchased more of these and my brother-in-law, mother and aunt requested trays of their own, after experiencing these at my house. Yes, they are different than your old, hard plastic trays. They are not firm and do not slide, but this you get used to after filling them a couple of times. The cubes pop out easily, just push your finger on the back of how ever many cubes you want. The cubes never fall out on the kitchen floor or all over the counter! The trays never get brittle and crack, as hard plastic trays do. They take up less space in your freezer, stack well, and create perfect, large squares of ice, which fit better in your glass and melt slowly, so as not to water down your drink. I was a little hesitant at first, because I won't use silicone baking products, due to the left behind taste in the food. However, I have never tasted a rubber taste with these cubes. They are wonderful.

1 out of 5 stars a real pain   December 30, 2008
Evie Courtney (N Augusta SC)
These ice trays may look cool, but they are made of grippy rubber that doesn't want to let go of your ice! It is a real struggle to get the cubes out, so unless you want to give your hands a workout I wouldn't recommend this. Definitely not for the arthritic! For something that costs this much, I'd say the product works terribly.

5 out of 5 stars My favorite ice cube trays!   December 14, 2008
C. Lum (Honolulu, HI USA)
I'd been using plastic ice trays, so it took me a couple of fills to get used to these silicone trays, but they're now my favorite! I like the perfect cubes. They last longer than the half-moon types. Best way to empty them is to start on the short end, and press on the bottoms to remove the cubes individually. Once they've been removed, you can easily remove the rest by pressing on the bottoms and peeling the tray back. My husband initially resisted them and voiced his dislike, but I see now that he uses them exclusively, and doesn't touch the other trays.
