Product Description
One thing about the Tassimo that you can count on is the best tasting hot beverage that you'll really enjoy. Be it coffee, tea, or chocolate, the ingredients to make a cup are prepared into a tiny single-serving container called a T-DISC. All you need to do is pop in the T-DISC into your Tassimo brewer, wait less than a minute, and you've got a delicious hot beverage.BRBR Fully automatic operation and an integrated LED user interface mean that you can trust the TASSIMO by Bosch to deliver a superior beverage, without the usual hassle and mess of traditional coffee makers. The T DISC is easily inserted into the brewer and operates with one touch of a button. The unique TASSIMO by Bosch guarantees first-cup freshness every time, no matter what was brewed in the unit previously. The taste remains consistent and there is no flavor transfer. The brewer can even make real milk cappuccinos and lattes, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The advanced water filtration system also ensures that the water used is the best quality. It's so simple yet so tasty. Each cup is freshly brewed to celebrate its true character and gives you the taste you love, every time.

5 out of 5 stars Great Machine!   January 7, 2009
Gerald Witt (Grand Prairie, TX USA)
I bought this for my wife for Christmas as she like Decaf and I prefer regular coffee. This machine is fantastic. Not only does she get decaf, but she loves the cappuccinos and I get hot chocolate as well (make sure you put a dash of milk in the mug with the hot chocolate). Also the variety of beverages from tea to European coffees are awesome! Do not hesitate to get this machine!

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Coffee Maker   January 4, 2009
Corey Ridd (FL)
Me and my wife wish someone would have got this as a gift this great for our wedding. The most versatile and easy to use machine out there. It makes Coffee, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino, Tea, and even Hot Chocolate. It is so easy to use and as fast and quiet as everyone has mentioned. I havent owned another Tassimo machine like others, so i cant compare to how much better it is so in my eyes its very very close to perfect.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Brewing Machine! I Like The Espresso!!   December 28, 2008

My review is based primarily on my experience with the less-expensive model, but these comments apply to both units. The Bosch Tassimo is an excellent single-serve brewing machine. I've been using the Keurig system (which I love) for several years, but wanted a machine at the office which could make a decent cup of espresso. This machine does not disappoint. br / br /Overall, it's quieter than the Keurig and more energy efficient. It only heats the water when you are ready to make the coffee. However, it is very fast, so don't worry about speed. br / br /It makes a good cup of espresso. Though not as good as freshly ground beans from our super-automatic at home, the machine makes a better cup than I've had at many coffee shops. br / br /The only difference I can tell between the $99 version and the $139 version is the inclusion of a water filter on the more expensive model and a more attractive finish. Both produce a fine cup of coffee and are sturdy, well-built machines. Because the cheaper model does NOT have a water filter, it holds slightly more water. I plan to use bottled water in my machine, so it makes little difference to me. The Bosch also has a smaller footprint than the Keurig machine. br / br /It produces excellent coffee that is tailored to the type of coffee you are making. The one downside to the system is that there is not the VARIETY of coffee available for it that you can find for the Keurig. But, I think the taste of the coffee is superior, and you can't make an espresso with a Keurig. The Starbuck's blends produced for the coffee maker are excellent and taste fresh. I particularly recommend Starbucks Africa Kitamu, T-Discs for Tassimo System, 6.1-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2) for those who like a very strong and bold-flavored coffee. The Starbucks House Blend, Medium, T-Discs for Tassimo System, 6.1-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2) tastes VERY much like the brew you get at the bistro (or better) for a much smaller cost. br / br /Remember, there are TWO different types of milk cartridges for Tassimo. Latte's use a regular steamed milk cartridge and machiatos and cappuccinos use a frothed milk cartridge. Same milk, different texture due to differences in bar coding on each of the disks. br / br /Highly Recommend This Machine.

4 out of 5 stars better option for single serve coffee makers   December 27, 2008

i received this as a gift for xmas and i must say, it does make quite a good cuppa. i make coffee in the morning for my husband and i, however usually he forgets and it's coffee wasted down the drain. we've only tried the maxwell house blend, and for a coffee snob like me, i actually thought it fairly good for that brand. br / br /what i don't like is the tdisc waste. however, when it came down to it, the tdiscs, with some work, is recyclable whereas the kcup (for keurig models) is actually NOT, claiming that they are "working on it" but that the cost of a great cup of coffee to them was worth the environmental and petroleum based containers (not an exact words but my interpretation). sure, i could have gotten the keurig and its reusable k-cup, but if you were going to prepare your own grounds in a reusable filter in an expensive coffee maker that (as most of the comments state) makes an inconsistent cup, why pay the extra money? br / br /that being said, what we do to reduce the waste is this: br /i have a large container that my family members put the tdiscs in when they are finished brewing a cup. when i get more than a moment, i take each used tdisc, peel/scrape of the foil, dump the grounds back into the bin to put in my gardens in the spring (great compost), rinse the tdisc and put it in recycling (making sure all the foil is off the plastic container). it IS quite the job but not as hard as some people have commented about. and i do admit, when I'm not particularly in the mood, i will take off as much foil as i can and snip off a very thin rim (you'll know what i'm talking about when you see it) and recycle the rest of the tdisc. i hope this helps as the consumer waste was the biggest issue for me but i feel as though this is a good way to combat it.

5 out of 5 stars An excellent upgrade on the original Braun model   December 19, 2008
D. Price (Los Angeles, CA. USA)
We had the original Braun Tassimo and needed a second machine for a seperate location, and are very impressed with the Bosch version. br /Slightly more compact in size on the kitchen counter, with the straight design lines allowing it to mould in better. Small improvements like the handle on the water resevoir make it much easier to fill. br /The best of all is the reduction in waiting time to make your coffee (you only need to press the button once and then it starts to heat the water and automatically start) and the quietness of brewing (although admittedly this noisy part is missed by our 2 year old ...!). br /All-in-all a great evolution on the original model and one I recommend....oh, and it makes great hot coffee also ! Enjoy!!
