Product Description Chefs who love Australian-designed Fueri Pro knives will swoon over the new premium level Fueri FX. Standing for Forged Exoskeleton, the FX knives are constructed out of a single piece of exceptionally durable German stainless steel, resulting in superior strength and hygiene (no cracks or joints to collect bacteria). As with Fueri Pro knives, the FX wedged handle is designed to prevent the hand from slipping toward the blade during use, and features a finger-notch and ergonomic curve that reduce strain and calluses, especially for arthritis sufferers. Beautifully balanced and sensuous to hold, this handsome, substantially hefty Coppertail knife features an extremely sharp blade that is easily sharpened. As the blade wears and lightens over time, the copper "tail" on the handle can be filed to counterbalance the weight. At ten inches in length, the knife tackles heavy chopping, cutting, and slicing jobs and makes a fabulous gift for the professional home chef. Set includes: Furi RR Coppertail 7" Knife Furi RR Coppertail 5" Knife Bamboo Gift Case
Amazon.com Review The unique "East/West" blade design of Fueri Pro Coppertail knives combines the sharpness and scalloping of a Santoku with the thinness and curved edge of a chef's knife. The result is cutlery that is superb for straight slicing without sticking but that still works into a great rocking motion for speedy mincing or chopping. Not to mention that Coppertail knives are the cutlery of choice for cookbook author and Food Network host Rachael Ray, who has a great deal of clout with home chefs.p This box set packs two Coppertail cook's knife/vegetable chopper knives. The first has a 5-inch blade for handling smaller fare, such as halving cherry tomatoes or slicing mushrooms. The longer 7-inch blade is ideal for bigger jobs, such as chiffonading spinach or slicing large tomatoes. Knives are made of a single piece of high-carbon Japanese stainless-steel alloy so there are no gaps where food particles can get caught and no plastic pieces or rivets that can potentially fall off over time. The strength of this steel allows for an extremely sharp cutting edge that requires minimal maintenance to keep its sharpness.p The ergonomically shaped handles on this cutlery feel lightweight yet properly balanced and provide a comfortable grip through hours of cooking. Handles are curved but have wedge-shaped angles on the top and bottom to reduce the amount of squeezing and hand strain and to prevent slipping when hands are wet or oily. Additionally, these knives have a notch just beyond the bolster that comfortably cradles the index finger and are the only brand with a counterbalancing copper insert at the ends to maintain the ideal weight between handle and blade. After years of sharpenings, the blade can lose a great deal of metal, which throws off the balance of the blade. The copper insert can be honed down to reduce handle weight and restore the proper balance. p These two knives come in a gorgeous bamboo wood gift/storage box with sturdy metal hinges and a magnetic closure on the front. Engineered in Australia and manufactured in China, Fueri Pro cutlery is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. I--Cristina Vaamonde/I

Do NOT order from this company December 30, 2008 J. Pierce (alaska) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This company is a joke.. They jacked up the prices on these knives over $60.00 before christmas, promising delivery by christmas and these knives STILL have not been shipped. You can't contact "As seen on TV" by phone and they don't answer emails. I'm not sure the company even exists, so buyer beware. They WILL rip you off and it's likely you will never see your merchandise
Fantastic Knives October 24, 2008 Russell P. Kozusko Now if your not used to very sharp knives you are going to have to be very careful with these. My wife proceeded to cut herself numerous time the first time she used them. They are well balanced and are very easy to keep clean. You need to hone them each time you use them to keep them at there best. Great knives and they should do the job for years to come.
perfect August 29, 2008 S. Mathis (MA) I love these knifes. I don't cook everyday but when I do these make my life a lot easier. I don't need 12 different kinds so I was happy to see this set of two. The grip is very comfortable, it's nice and lightweight. I'm know the other reviewers have talked about the sharpness. I love how sharp they are, thats he whole point right?
Fantastic Knives August 8, 2008 Joel Wittels (Lakewood, NJ United States) These knives are a pleasure. My parents bought me my first 'good' knife about 6 months ago, and finally decided to take the plunge for this pair. br / br /The small one is even great for my nine year old daughter.
Good knife set, but watch for mislabeling August 8, 2008 John E. Saurbaugh I was sent a mislabled Gusto Grip set instead. These are very nice in that they have a rubber grip. I would have prefered the coppertail ones, as they match the decor of our kitchen, but the ones I received are great!
