Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
There's cooking for basic food and then there's cooking cuisine. One is a necessity while the other is a pleasure, a form of art. For the recreational cook, this all-purpose 14-piece cutlery set is functional, practical and affordable. Cuisinart knives are made of durable, high-carbon molybdenum steel blades that resist rust, stains and corrosion. The molded, triple riveted handles are capped by brushed stainless for extra protection and appeal, and the curved design ensures comfort as you chop, dice and mince. These are the tools that make cuisine art.

4 out of 5 stars Gread knife set for the money   November 15, 2007

This is a great knife set for the price. My sister in-law used the set when she came to visit and she liked it so much she went home and bought a set for herself. Knifes stay sharp - have to be careful I've cut myself a few times (I'm so used to dull knifes). The only down side is that they don't do well in the dishwasher. I had read other reviews about the cuisinart knifes prior to purchasing that said they did ok in the dishwasher but my experience is that they tend to rust. Much better to just rinse and dry right after use - worth the time to me to keep them in good shape.

This cutlery set is great. br /We just got married and it is wonderful for us. br /It comes with a great wood block, which does not take up a lot of space. All of the blades are very sharp and are easy to hold. br /It is the best set we have had. (Thanks Dad) br /

2 out of 5 stars Referbished?????   December 22, 2006

Won't by anything refurbished again. These knives were all extremely dull, and one the sm paring knife had a crack in the blade near the back. Also two of the knives had small knicks, including the bread knife . They should have never been on the market. I did not send them back, too much hassle. I did sharpen them, and are now usable. Spend the extra and get Trident, there is no comparison.

2 out of 5 stars Rust spots   November 7, 2006

These knives are already showing spots of rust despite washing by hand drying. Very disappointed in quality of finish.
