Product Description Culinary scissors are a must-have for any well-stocked kitchen and this professional-grade set ensures you'll have the right shears for the job! With high-carbon, stainless steel blades and easy-to-hold handles. J.A. Henckels has been manufacturing fine cutlery since 1731. All Henckels kitchen tools are forged and feature ultrasharp blades enhanced using the Friodur ice-hardening process. Set carries the Henckels lifetime warranty.
Amazon.com Review Known primarily for their well-crafted knives, Henckels also makes scissors and employs the same high-quality standards in their construction. This set includes five different pairs of scissors that cover a variety of household uses: standard 8-1/2-inch bent scissors for cutting paper or fabric, 8-inch kitchen shears for poultry or herbs (this pair also features a screw-cap opener between the handles), a 6-inch straight trimmer for cutting hair or trimming beards, 6-inch flower shears for clipping rose stems or trimming house plants, and a pair of extra-sharp, pointed 4-inch embroidery scissors for sewing. Henckels uses the same high-carbon stainless steel for its scissor blades as for its knife blades to ensure durability and a longer-lasting sharp edge. The blades (except the flower shears) are held together with a screw that provides the perfect amount of tension and is removable so blades can be individually resharpened. Handles on all scissors are made of comfortable, nonslip, black polypropylene to reduce strain on hands. This set is fully guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship. --Cristina Vaamonde

Good basic set February 25, 2008 Dean Bielanowski (Brisbane, Queensland Australia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A nice basic scissor set for the home. Not the same quality as the top brands, but you aren't paying top brand price either. The scissors were all sharp and have done the job around the home just fine so far!
Not bad for the price, but a couple didn't hold their edge well. September 30, 2007 Lydia F. Selwood 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nice, all purpose set ... perhaps I'm hard on my scissors, as I use them extensively for multiple tasks. They didn't hold their edge as well as I'd like. Arrived in a timely manner, well packed. Recommended if you don't put them through a lot of use.

These scissors are NOT the best quality, but still a GOOD value for everyday use. If you want professional quality, spend more, get more!
Once apon a time....... August 1, 2007 Kenneth Masters (Berkeley, CA USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
It used to be that Henckels products were top notch. No longer. Any fine quality knife or scissors has to be forged. I have a few old knifes from Henckels and they are fine, quality tool steel, drop forged. Now I'm not saying these are worthless just not top drawer. There are still great knifes out there just beware the sticker shock. As these will be a life long tool look at the price with a view towards that. Look at Wusthof for a good example or some of the Japanese small manufacturers or A.G. Russell, you will not be disappointed. Even if you can only afford one at a time do it. Also a great wedding gift. Duke Masters
