Product Description
John Boos Co. is the number one supplier of butcher blocks, countertops and cutting boards to restaurants and butchers. They are used in some of the finest restaurants in the country, by professional and celebrity chefs, at the White House, and have been awarded the Gold Medal Award by Chefs of America. John Boos cutting surfaces offer superb quality and remarkable beauty. Designed to satisfy the exacting standards of professional chefs, the stunning 18" Round Maple Chopping Block has a gorgeous checkerboard pattern. The 3" thick board features hard maple End Grain construction that resists nicks and gouges and absorbs the impact from blades, enabling your knife to hold its edge longer. With a natural oil finish and FDA approval, this board is a must for the professional or discerning home chef. Perfect for the commercial or residential kitchen, it works beautifully for any chopping task. John Boos Co. is the oldest industry in Effingham, Illinois. They have been in business continuously since 1887. Non-reversible. Dimensions: 18" diameter x 3" thick

I bought one of these a couple of years ago thinking it would be the last chopping block I would buy. Unfortunately, the one I bought is now separating. There is a 4" crack running along one of the glue lines that runs all the way through the block from top to bottom.
