Tea maker with issues! July 20, 2008 Nancy A. Griffin (Missouri) Over all this is a good tea maker. I love the timer aspect which makes it so much easier to brew the different teas. I just wish it made more than 4 cups. If you use an oversize cup you can only fill it twice. The pour spout does not pour well. I have spilled more tea trying to figure a good way to pour. I finally held the pot lid down as I poured which helped. Directions aren't very good either. After using tea maker for over a month now I am modifying my review a little. The pour spout needs a major overhaul!!! It is ridiculous the amount of tea I spill even pouring slowly. The little stopper in the water heater sometimes get stuck and the water pours out at the bottom. I have to pull the stopper up then push it down again to stop the water.Unit a little large. Definitely overpriced. I'm not sure I would buy this again. Would change rating to 3.5 stars!
Fabulous Tea Maker January 26, 2008 Toni Bowes (Novato, CA) Love this tea maker. I have it since it first came out and love it. The review about spilling as you pour is correct. I found if I pour slowly it doesn't spill everywhere. Make great tea every time.
Very Convenient January 19, 2008 New Mommy (New York, NY) We really like this tea maker! It's convenient and easy to use, and it brews up some very delicious tea. It's nice looking and doesn't take up too much space. Our only concern is that the heating chamber--made out of aluminum or something like that--seems like it could corrode or rust. It's a good option though if you want something nicer than the cheap Sunbeam option but not quite as elaborate as the fancy $150 tea system (I forget who makes it).
The Best Tea Maker on the Market Today January 6, 2008 M. Taylor 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As far as I've been able to tell, this is the best tea maker on the market today. First, it's a "real" tea maker, where water is boiled, dropped onto the tea and steeps for a length of time you set. That alone is hard to come by. Secondly, this model has two temperature settings, one for black tea (with boiling water) and one for green, white, or herbal teas where you want the water just a little cooler. The warming plate does a good job of heating the tea without overheating it and it's sealed pretty well against spills. I've been using mine for a year (about 5 times a week) and it still works fine. The only negatives that I can think of are that you have to pour slowly to avoid drips and the tea basket is not the easiest thing in the world to clean, but it is pretty straightforward.

I bought this after trying the Sunbeam tea maker as well as the Zarafina. This is by far the worst.. I've had two and they both have had major issues.. The first wouldn't heat water at all.. the second wouldn't dispense the water once heated in the steeping chamber on level II, level I works fine so Ive learned to "trick" it...this is such a dissappointment, I'm looking for the perfect hot tea maker and well ATM one doesn't exhisit..
