Product Description If you're not a coffee drinker, but prefer a nice herbal tea in the morning, make sure you boil the water with this whistling kettle. Crafted in stainless steel with a black molded handle. 3.5-Qt. capacity Traditional style Stainless steel
Amazon.com Review Designed with a retro look, this tea kettle is similar to Revere's original copper-bottom cookware that was so popular in the 1950s but offers updated materials and a lighter weight. The kettle is made of durable and brilliantly polished 18/10 stainless steel and has a copper bottom for excellent heat conductivity. The kettle holds a maximum capacity of 3-1/2 quarts of water, equivalent to six 3-1/2-cup servings, and has a whistle in its spout that sounds when water is boiling. The kettle's handle is made of phenolic plastic, which stays cool during boiling and has a fingertip trigger that pulls to up the lid for pouring or refilling with water. This kettle should be hand-washed and the copper bottom will require polishing in order to maintain its brilliant luster. This kettle is covered under a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Best of the Best October 11, 2008 J. J. Cummings (wilmington, de) This will be my second Revere kettle. A houseguest left the first on an open flame and didn't hear the whistle... That is about the only way to destroy this item. My parents had the same one as long as I could remember and I had the first one well over 15 years. I have tried others, Copco and the uplift kettle from OXO. I liked the OXO but it was only a 2 quart capacity. Nothing beats the Revere.
Revere Warw teakettle October 5, 2008 Dollie Waggoner I ordered this for a friend. She specifically wanted this brand and size to replace one she had for many years. The bottom plate seemed a little thin to me, but she was thrilled to get exactly what she wanted.
Can't Beat It! September 16, 2008 Mary Kelly (Chico, CA USA) I've had one of these kettles since 1978. I "downsized" a couple of years ago. This is exactly the same as my "old faithful" just smaller. Yep, they're light weight, and you can't open them for cleaning, but the whistle's loud and it boils water quickly...and yes, if the whistle goes on too long, the handle will get hot. So don't do that...

This was a replacement and I only hope that the new one lasts for as many years as its predecessor. The other only wore out due to being left on a burner when empty on not one but several occasions. Excellent product.

This ain't your mother's Revere Ware! It's NOT 18-10 Stainless, it's thinner metal, and it's made in CHINA - not the USA as the new corporate conglomerate wants you to think. (the original "Revere Ware" company ceased US production years ago and only the "brand name" is now owned by World Kitchen, LLC. 2006) Besides being 'burned' by this faux-patriotism, you will likely be actually burned by the incredibly bad design of the dinky phenolic-resin lid actuator as the tender back of your fingers contact the boiling-hot steel top! (maybe only tiny chinese underage olympic hands fit properly...?) The single fill/pour hole is only ~1.25" diameter and the lid will only open ~45 deg. relative to horizontal - so good luck filling this from either a filtered fridge dispenser or poured from another container. Also, the spring-loaded lid will not remain in an open position - which prevents the pot from thoroughly drying inside. Amazon has other, better choices - browse on! (we purchased this from Amazon and are returning it. [3.5 qt model #3535017])
