Amazon.com Review
Shorter days and cooler weather are a sure sign that it's time to cook heavier, more satisfying foods. However, satisfying does not necessarily mean unhealthy when it comes to making a meaty roast. Measuring 12 by 15 inches and with a capacity of up to 25 pounds, this durable rectangular roaster can handle everything from a Sunday dinner boneless pork loin to a gigantic Thanksgiving turkey with all the trimmings. The included rack holds meats above the pan so fat and oil drip away and a leaner, healthier roast remains.p Made of heavy-gauge carbon steel with sturdy rolled edges, this roasting pan is well-balanced for lugging heavier roasts. In addition, the steel construction offers the perfect heat distribution required for roasting or baking and won't warp under high oven temperatures. Anodized cast aluminum handles at either end provide a slip-free grip and are bolted on in an upright position, which feels more natural for lifting and carrying. The floating steel rack securely rests on the handle's interior bolts and won't shift during movement or scratch the bottom of the pan. Both the roaster and the rack have a high-performance nonstick coating that is resistant to even the toughest grease and oil residue. Conveniently, the nonstick coating is safe for cooking under the broiler, cooking with metal utensils, and cleaning in the dishwasher without concern of weakening its release properties. In addition to meats, the roaster can be used without the rack to roast potatoes or even bake a large, deep-dish lasagne. KitchenAid offers a one-year hassle-free replacement warranty on this roaster set. I--Cristina Vaamonde/I

5 out of 5 stars Very Good   November 24, 2008

I thought it a bit pricy, but after using it, its well worth the money. Very well made and sturdy. Cleans up in a snap. No, I dont use it on the stove-top, nor do I use it in a 500 degree oven for hours. Should last forever!

The only item in my life I took back to SAMS where I bought it and showed them the falking. they; took it back. This pan is the best designed roaster I have ever had but immediately began to flake and rust on the shell.

5 out of 5 stars Great Roaster   June 21, 2008

Kitchenaid always makes a great product and so it is with this roaster. It is so well made. It is quite sturdy and has a good weight behind it. You can easily load a heavy turkey or ham into roaster and do not have to worry about it bending or twisting. It will not warp under high temperatures in the oven either like some cheaper models will. And cleanup is easy. br / br /Highly recommend.

1 out of 5 stars Doesn't meet expectations   December 27, 2007

After just 15 - 20 uses (coupled with hand washing and only plastic utensils), the non-stick coating began to bubble and flake off exposing bare metal. Once the bubbles appeared, the process accelerated until 50% of the pan interior bottom was exposed bare metal. Very annoying, and I would recommend that this product be avoided. Looks great new, until you use it.

5 out of 5 stars Great Roaster Pan   January 18, 2007

At Thanksgiving our daughter had one of these roaster pans. My wife helped her clean up after dinner and was so impressed how easy it was to clean and how convenient the rack was to take the roast from the pan. She needed to have a replacement for her old roaster pan before Christmas. She is very pleased with it.
