5 out of 5 stars Garlic Magic   November 3, 2008

This tiny skillet fits in the palm of your hand. I wasn't too sold on it until I found the ultimate use for it. Roasting garlic. br / br /You fill the tiny pan with peeled cloves of raw garlic, shoot in some olive oil and a pinch of salt, and put it on low heat. The garlic cooks in the tiny oil bath yielding awesome roasted garlic, as well as delicious garlicy olive oil. br / br /I'm buying these for stocking stuffers this year.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect for egg McMuffin   October 27, 2008

Like another reviewer has already said, what do you expect when the description said miniature skillet? The price should have been a dead giveaway and it almost is. A really great price for great quality. I scramble 1 to 2 eggs depending on the size egg I happen to have on hand and cover the skillet with a saucer or salad plate to styeam the egg till solid. With a little ham, a sausage patty, or two strips of cut up bacon and a slice of cheese, one can enjoy a better sandwich than can be found at the local hamburger place. I just don't understand any complaints about this great deal. I'm sure I will find many additional uses.

I have seen this skillet presented to a fisherman at his retirement party. This is a guy who is known for frying up the small ones.

5 out of 5 stars Five stars for cuteness!   July 30, 2008

Now come on everybody! This is a MINIATURE skillet, as they advertise, so to say it is small (like that's a bad thing) doesn't make much sense. I'm glad to see that 2 out of 3 people here enjoy it for what it is. I didn't purchase it to cook meals in because I was well aware of its size going in. I love it just because... br / br /I give it five stars for two reasons - 1) It is cute as a bug; and 2) It's made by Lodge, so it is clearly great quality cast iron. br / br /Admittedly I have not actually 'used' it for anything, but then I had no aspirations of it serving any practical purpose. I like the melting butter idea that another reviewer mentioned. Thank You for that. I do have the little Lodge melting pot, but sometimes even that is bigger than what I need. This cute little skillet would be perfect for that also. br / br /Did I mention that it is cute? :)

1 out of 5 stars Way To Small   July 9, 2008

I thought I was getting an item that was big enough to maybe fry one egg or something. This thing is sooooo small it belongs in a Doll House. Really its not even 3". Made a mistake on this one. br / br / Joe
