Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
You love the look of stainless but dread the idea of scrubbing a pan clean, just to keep it looking like new? Look no further than this stainless Skillet. It features a nonstick interior, so you can prepare healthy food without all the heavy oils, and then clean up in an instant! It's the best of both Calphalon worlds - a bottom core crafted from heavy-gauge, highly conductive aluminum with an exterior surface made from surgical quality, 18/10 stainless steel and an interior surface that's double-coated with Calphalon's sturdy, reliable nonstick coating. A double riveted handle enhances its durability. It's a staple for your kitchen that's also simply affordable.

Amazon.com Review
The Simply Calphalon Stainless line of cookware is an excellent alternative for those who prefer the look of stainless steel and the easy maintenance of cooking on nonstick. This cookware also is a great fit for those who desire Calphalon quality at a more budget price. Perfect for smaller portions, this 8-inch omelet pan cooks a large individual omelet, a two-person frittata, or a pair of crab cakes.p Made of attractive 18/10 brushed stainless steel, the pan has an aluminum core through the bottom for even heat distribution. Its double-coated nonstick interior prevents food from sticking and makes cleanup easier. The stainless-steel loop handle is comfortable to grip, plus it minimizes heat transfer so the handle stays cool on the stovetop. This cookware is oven-safe up to 450 degrees F so you don't have to dirty several pans to make one dish. All cookware in this line is 100-percent dishwasher-safe and is covered by a 10-year warranty. 4 out of 5 stars Good pans for the price and they are dishwasher safe   September 8, 2008
Ann (in Melbourne, Florida)
I have used this pan and the 10" pan from a Simply Calphalon Stainless Steel 10-piece set I purchased about 3 years ago (about $175). Out of the set, the frying pans have gotten the most use. They are nice, heavy pans, however the nonstick coating has not held up as well as I would have liked and now I need to replace the frying pans. I think I sped up their demise by cooking on them at too high a temperature most of the time. These pans were a very good buy and I will buy them again. br / br /About the dishwasher issue: The washing info on the Calphalon website says, "Wash with hot, sudsy water and a dishcloth. Please note, pans with a stainless exterior and nonstick interior can go into the dishwasher. However, hand washing is recommended." br / br /If you purchase the anodized aluminum, nonstick Calphalon pans, you cannot put THOSE pans in the dishwasher. Here is what the website says: "Do not clean Calphalon hard-anodized cookware in a dishwasher. Dishwasher detergents will damage the surface. Dishwasher use will void your Lifetime Warranty." br / br /So, Calphalon stainless steel pans in the dishwasher -- Yes. br /Calphalon hard-anodized cookware in a dishwasher -- No. br /

This is an excellent omelet pan. The price was great ($25) and it's solid and high quality. You cannot go wrong!

Great omelet pan. The eggs don't stick and the omelets come out looking like a pro made them.

We have been looking for this kind of pan for quite sometime now. We came to know about this during a shopping spree at the Duty Free shop here in the Philippines. br /This the kind of pan that we want easy to clean, fuel efficient and durable. More often than not pans that are coming out has this "hot plate" at the bottom to generate more heat. But this feature make it very difficult to clean. We also like the way the handle was made, very "positive" in terms of fabrication and sdesign. br /If only we have enough "resources" we will go Calphalon all the way!! But may be we'll do it piece by piece. I do most of the cooking at home even before I retired from work and have been cooking since my teens. So I know things about pots and pans. br / br /Henry J. 4 out of 5 stars Good line of pans   September 9, 2005

For almost two years I've had several sizes of these pans. They have good weight and balance, are very easy to clean quickly, and are reasonably priced. br / br /Regarding the dishwasher, I have put some of the smaller pans in there, however I've found that since these are so easy to clean because of the nonstick surface, it's easier and faster to do it by hand -- about as quick to wash by hand as it is to load into the dishwasher and unload later. br / br /Before purchasing, I considered the tri-ply pans, however the handles were terrible, especially when trying to hold the additional weight. Plus they are much more expensive. br / br /I'd definitely recommend this pan to anyone - great product and good price.
