Great urn if you've only used the cheap ones September 15, 2008 Paul S. Jordan (Northeast USA) No quality problems with the unit I purchased, works great. Having the timer is a nice bonus and having the "automatic perk shutoff to stay warm mode" is great. A full 60-cup load takes about 40 minutes to perk, so it's not a quick process. But it is very nice to start the perking when guests arrive and basically forget about it through dinner until it's time for coffee. Also a very nice looking unit, not out of place at all in the kitchen.
very disappointed September 10, 2008 B. Sterling (beautiful Idaho) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two of these coffee makers about 3 months ago for my church because I liked the features, thought they looked nice, and believed the Saeco brand to be reliable. I had to return the first one right away because it leaked from the side of the urn--not at a seam, but from a flat area. I couldn't see the hole but it was dripping none-the-less. Now I find out that the second urn is not working correctly. It shuts off during the perk cycle then starts again, stops again, etc. Aside from making poor coffee it takes a couple hours just to brew one pot. I am very disappointed and won't be buying this brand again.
Excellent Coffee Urn August 31, 2008 alntash (Doylestown, PA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this product for commercial use and it's wonderful. It has a timer so I can prep the urns the night prior and they are brewed and ready first thing in the morning. It makes great coffee and keeps it at the perfect temperature. Very sharp looking too!!! br /I liked it so much I bought another one!
