5 out of 5 stars Coffeemaker   December 3, 2008

5 out of 5 stars Happy with it.   November 30, 2008
Matthew Skarritt
I've had this coffee maker over 2 years now and it works great. Love the convenience of pouring one cup and not dealing with a carafe. And the coffee tastes, well....like coffee. Some people are going to give negative reviews based on the fact that the thing might have broke or didn't work as long as they thought it should have. It's a machine. They tend to break sometimes before they should. No machine is indestructible. That's why there's a warranty. 9 times out of 10 you're going to get a machine, whether it's a car or a coffee maker, that will work as long as it is expected to. My only negative comment would be that it is pricey. But for me personally, I've gotten my money's worth out of it.

2 out of 5 stars Poor Quality, Buyer Beware   November 30, 2008
TheBrightSide (Ohio)
I have purchased this coffee maker not once, but twice. I love the concept of not having the caraffe, I love the quality of coffee the pot makes; however, I am disappointed in cuisinart for not making a high quality machine. I purchased the replacement thinking that my hard water was the problem. WRONG! Haven't had the machine for a year and it's already dead. After purchasing 2 of these within the last year and a half, I am done. Don't waste your money.

2 out of 5 stars Be warned, very poor warranty   November 29, 2008

Great product, bad warranty. Cuisinart seems to feel it is OK for the customer to pay for shipping BOTH ways on any warranty repair. Get ready to spend $25+ if this thing breaks.

1 out of 5 stars Very Sorry Warranty   November 26, 2008
Jim R. Zeffield (Morrison, IL)
This coffee maker makes a decent, good-tasting cup of coffee. br /At the high price of these units, I expected it to last awhile. However, the unit I got is defective as it only works about half of the time. The so-called warranty will cost you at least $25.00, every time something goes wrong with it. Cusinart will ship you a replacement for a fee of $10:00 for their efforts and you must deal with the return packaging and cover postal costs and insurance to send back the defective unit. There are no local service places you can take it to get fixed at. br /I don't know how often these units go bad, but I have a hunch that its pretty often. That must be why you have to pay shipping or they'd go broke. I had my unit less than a month when I started having problems with it. br /
