Awesome... fire and forget. I just love cooking things and not having to baby-sit them without the threat of burning the whole neighborhood. My wife is actually sick of me suggesting things to try to steam. I want to eat healthier so I try to steam a lot of my food. This thing is awesome with veggies, rice, corn on the cob, POTATOES even!! Haven't put any meats or fish in there yet (I'll have to do it while my wife is sleeping because she's against that). However, we've pretty much made everything else with it. It does a good job with clams too. Anyways, I like it and it deserves 5-stars because it makes delicious meals that are healthy. Word of warning, rice may take up to an hour to cook in it. Oh well, just set it before hand.

I've never used a steamer before but this one is wonderful. It took some time before I was willing to try it but my husband got it going in about 5min and has been using it almost everyday for the past two months. It takes longer to cook rice than in a pot but it comes out perfect (we had to use a little less water than recommended)and is easy to clean. The best part is we can start the steamer when we get home and an hour later we are ready to eat without slaving to make a healthy meal. So far we have done rice, artichokes, asparagus, squash, broccoli and vegetarian meats. Love it!

My husband and I just received this steamer and we LOVE it!! I have steamed salmon, carrots, eggs, bok choy, chicken breasts, all within the 7 days I have owned it and it is all wonderful. Absolutely loved how moist the chicken breasts were.....and the carrots were wonderfully sweet. I've had absolutely no issues with this product. My husband has tried boiled eggs and steaming eggs in custard cups with great results. We've recently changed our way of thinking when it comes to eating and the steamer fits into our lifestyle now. Simple, easy-to-use, healthy, and convenient. Just don't know why it took me so long to buy one! My daughter has ordered one now for herself and her husband since I've bragged on it over and over for a week!

The Oster food steamer is GREAT. No messy pots and pans, trying to find a lid. It's quick, easy, and the clean-up is simple. Just pop the components into the dishwasher and you're all done. One of my better purchases!!

This product is great. Wore out my last steamer. This one has a lot of newer features-digital timer, two baskets and a rice cooker. Counter space saver!
