Long-stemmed to keep hands from warming a chilled Chardonnay, each graceful glass forms a tulip shape that flares slightly outward at the rim to enhance the appreciation of light-colored wines. Each glass stands 8-1/2 inches tall, holds 8-3/4 ounces, and is kept simple and unadorned for a clean, contemporary look. Waterford and Marquis, two prestigious crystal companies, joined forces in 1991 to create a simpler, more modern design line for today's lifestyles. Like all fine crystal, Waterford stemware should be washed by hand in moderately hot, soapy water, then rinsed and dried thoroughly to protect the porous surface from harsh detergents. We love these white wine glasses. Nice, uncut crystal. We have used at many parties and have yet to break one. They are fragile in shipping though. Great for everyday, but they dress up nicely too.
