Hands Down the Best October 10, 2008 Z. Qiu (Cary, NC) I am very very happy with this product. My cat is kind of timid but she lays down when I start combing her with Furminator. A lot of the toys and stuff I bought for her I never use them that often but I actually find myself using this almost everyday - my cat loves it and its good for us to bond by grooming her, and its funny that how much hair you can actually get on a daily basis. I do feel that she's cleaner somehow by getting rid of her extra fur. It just works.
Sucks. October 10, 2008 surfdog (New York, NY) My dog has short hair but sheds. This thing barely picked up any hair, and you can't even use it on their bellies in case it tears a nipple! I sat in the yard combing her for half an hour and maybe came away with a small tuft of hairball the size of a quarter. This comb is probably meant for long-haired dogs...it definitely doesn't work on my Catahoula.
Really works! October 10, 2008 S. Wall (Fair Play CA) I have tried many brushes, but this is the most effective yet. It has a wide area (get the large unless it's for a cat) that saves time and is easy to clean. I have a white lab that leaves hair throughout my home; I am desperate to try anything, and I finally found the best tool yet, short of an razor! This brush gets right down to the undercoat, and while you must be gentle, it gets to the dander, and grabs loads of hair with each stroke. This is important, as I have family that have allergies which are caused by dander. I was shocked at the amount of hair (and dander) I was able to remove so quickly, and my dog loved it. Now I just need to keep at it, but I would highly recommend this brush over all the others I've tried. The handle is comfortable and doesn't slip, making constant strokes even easier and the job only took minutes. For the price, it's the next best thing than a personal groomer!
The Furminator Works October 10, 2008 K. Wumkes (Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The medium brush works well to reduce shedding on our dogs and cats. It's wide enough to use on the dogs, yet not overwhelmingly large for the cats. All our pets enjoy the brushing, and it really does pull out a lot of loose underfur. The manufacturer recommends brushing outside, because the fur literally does fly. Just be careful not to use it on matted fur or sensitive body areas. The close tines would pull too hard, and the metal might irritate the skin.
does exactly what it is supposed to October 8, 2008 A man from Chicago (Chicago, IL USA) Helps to fight your dogs fur. Does exactly that. It is well worth the money I paid.
