 Beware of this product November 7, 2008

I bought this and installed it. Easy installation, looks impressive. It started flashing off and on and I haven't been able to use it since. I do not have any contact information to get technical help in learning why this occurs. So now it does not work at all. br / br /I am dissappointed that a product as simple as a light bulb cannot be sucessfully operated with solar technology.

Had it all set up and seemed to work well for three days. Started to flash off and on when it detected movement and then stopped working all together. Piece of junk now. Cannot find a replacement bulb.

All was well until a month after installation when the light started behaving erratically. It sometimes did not come on, come on for less than a second then go off, come on and off repeatedly for a few seconds and now it does not come on at all. br / br /Buyer Be Wear ... br /
2 Lights - 2 Failures after 2 weeks September 14, 2008

Needing some illumination by my front door I purchased this light in spring of 2008. The first unit lasted 2 weeks then failed. I exchanged it and the second unit did exactly the same thing. The light quality was good and it was easy to install. The motion sensor worked well and it was perfect for getting out keys and getting inside without worry. br / br /The first unit was purchased from Amazon and the second unit from Lowe's. There was nothing unusual with my installation and I charged the unit fully as recommended by the manufacturer (whom I contacted, to no avail). br / br /The unit failed by beginning to work only when the motion sensor was actively triggered, turning off the moment there was no motion in the sensor range. The second unit exhibited exactly the same behaviour and after 1 month has stopped working all together. br / br /Great idea, lousy execution.
