Though my birthstone is peridot, I've always had a special fondness for opal -- the (typically) white stone, seemingly lit from within, that shimmers with hints of other hues. The opals in these oval-shaped earrings are glowing blue rather than glowing white, with flashes of pink and green. The shiny, sterling silver settings enhance the stones.
