4 out of 5 stars Walker glides ("skis")   December 1, 2008
J. JENSEN (Dade City, FL)
Anyone who needs a walker to get around should try these, what I call, walker skis.(walker glides) They really do glide over most anything and make the walker and the user (my wife in this case) a lot more comfortable and secure when using these simple but excellent devices.

5 out of 5 stars Very helpful for Elderly   August 5, 2008

I purchased these glides to help my 97-year old father-in-law use his walker more effectively. The glides are more substantial than they appear in the picture and are of very high quality nylon. They attach to the walker easily and securely. The glides made using the walker much easier, and work well on both carpeted and wood floors (they did not scratch the wood flooring); we have not yet tried them on concrete sidewalks or other surfaces. The real review, however, is from my father-in-law, who liked the glides right from the start and found that it made it easier for him to use his walker (the glides had replaced tennis balls). He commented that the glides enabled him to go faster and with less effort than the tennis ball-equipped walker, and that the walker was still just as secure to use. The items arrived in excellent condition within a few days of placing the order. Update: my father-in-law has now used these glides on multiple outdoor surfaces (concrete, roadways, grass) and says that they do indeed work very well on all of them and make it much easier for him to get around.

5 out of 5 stars skiis for walker   March 11, 2008
Margaret M. Dudash
These skiis were easy to install. My 86 year old father put them on himself and he has Parkinson's. The kind he was using before wore out very quickly. These are showing no signs of wear at all yet and they get used a lot. Of course, these cost a bit more, but in the long run, I believe they're worth it.

I have purchased this product before and they last a pretty long time. They do a good job for what they're made for. Very easy to install.

5 out of 5 stars Walker Glides for the win   March 8, 2007

These things are great. Especially if you move around a lot. They last 50x longer than tennis balls(my educated guess). They glide over every surface very easily. The way they are designed make it safer for you because it stabilizes the walker so it cannot go backwards. Otherwise, not much more to say. They work as advertised and they are a lot cheaper than other glides on this site!
