5 out of 5 stars Great Blades   October 11, 2008
R. HENES (Dexter, MI)
These blades have been on my car for about a month. What a great experience to actually be able to see the road clearly. I also recently applied a Rain-X treatment to the windshield. The thin layer of morning ice last week was no match for this combination. Swish...gone. Blades have a five-year warranty...I'll keep in touch.

5 out of 5 stars The best wiper!   October 9, 2008
B. Dubois (NH)
This is the second car I've had SilBlades on. I bought a new car and the first thing I did was swap the rubber blades out with SilBlades. They really blow the pants off normal rubber wipers. They last a long time, through winters, etc. 5 year warranty! Much less streaking as compared to a rubber blade (if any). I strongly recommend these to *anyone* driving any car.

5 out of 5 stars Beware : this product is only ONE blade   September 22, 2008
Gilles Belin (Seattle, WA USA)
Been using the blade and it works well (Mazda Protege 2001).
Just wanted to signal that you get only one blade when you order this product ... not two as I was expecting (the product image above still shows 2 blades)

2 out of 5 stars Wrong Paint-Squeaky Clean !!!   September 16, 2008

I'll keep this short...#1 The sun will blind you reflecting off the shiny black surface of the wiper, I don't intend to repaint them. They should have painted them with dull black paint NOT glossy shiny black. #2 If squeaky clean is hoped for, then they do this, I'd prefer a wiper that does not squeak or squeal when wiping. Bottom line is an unsatisfactory wiper, especially at this price!!!

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Product   September 7, 2008

I just bought my second set form my '99 Odyssey. Set #1 is 4 years old and still performing at about 75% of new. They tend to smear now in lighter rain/mist and when using the washers, so it's time for new ones. 4 years for wipers is unheard of.

The best part is how they coat the window and make the water bead up. You can run with the wipers on one lower setting as a result and with the water beading, you can see between the beads rather than trying to look through a film of rain water. Visibility in the wet is dramatically improved as a result.

I had two issues. First, they didn't work well at all on the back window. Wasn't long before it chattered a lot. Not sure why. Secondly, the plastic clips broke somewhere after the 2 year mark. They are universal clips and simply aren't' designed to be on the car that long. I called Silblades and the quickly sent out new replacements, no charge and no fuss.

Lastly, the Amazon entry needs clarification. It's the same entry from when I bought them and got the traditional style, but the text and the image imply that these are now the new one piece flexblades. The part number listed, however, seems to be for the winter blade. Unnecessarily confusing. I'm expecting the one piece blade, but I guess I'll be happy with the old style.
