From the Manufacturer The Pulstar pulse plug represents the first technological advancement in spark plug design in the past 100 years. Enerpulse, the manufacturer of the Pulstar pulse plug, develops environmentally-friendly ignition products through the application of Pulsed Power Technology (PPT). Pulstar pulse plugs were designed to increase peak power of the spark plug so it can ignite gasoline in the engine's cylinder more completely with less cycle-to-cycle variation. The result is more engine torque, more horsepower, and better fuel economy. Test results show significant improvements over spark plugs. View Larger | Better Fuel Economy Pulstar pulse plugs improve engine efficiency at the very moment of ignition by increasing the spark volume and energy density. Increasing the energy density of the spark makes ignition more precise with less cycle-to-cycle variation resulting in better fuel economy and driving performance than available from spark plugs. Increase Horsepower and Torque Pulstar pulse plugs look and fit like spark plugs, but incorporate an internal capacitor to deliver a spark 10 times more powerful than a spark plug. This faster ignition burns more of the fuel in the combustion chamber, generating more pressure in the cylinder. The increased cylinder pressure pushes the piston down with more force, which in turn, generates more torque to the crankshaft, more liveliness to the throttle, and more power to the wheels. The Pulse circuit releases a powerful pulse of power. View Larger | Test Data Recent tests demonstrate that Pulstar pulse plugs improved the fuel economy on 2005 and 2007 Prius Hybrid vehicles by 6% to 8%, or approximately 3-mpg. This 3-mpg increase produced by Pulstar means that over its life of approximately 4 years, carbon dioxide greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 1,344 pounds or over half a ton, making it evident even small changes like changing your spark plugs can translate into big differences for the planet. Product Guarantee Pulstar pulse plugs are safe to use in all vehicles. They come with a 30-day no questions asked return policy and are guaranteed not to void your car's manufacturer warranty or damage your engine when properly installed.

Easy to install and get a boost while doing it September 11, 2008 R. Montelongo (SA, TX) I got these being skeptical at first but decided to buy them for the price on amazon compared to the price from the manufacturer site. I installed these and at first i didnt notice a big difference but i guess the car had to get used to them and it does say it may take about 2 - 3 gas tanks for the system to give you accurate results. I did notice that my car starts up faster, and is idling at a lower RPM then before so i guess that means its burning more gas with each stroke, and that means less gas wasted and more power. Im not much of a mechanic so im trying to tell you the best way that i can. But these are worth the buy, a product that actually works and doesn't just look good on paper. A bit pricey but defiantly worth it.
Install these plugs it you want to destroy your engine!!!!!! August 18, 2008 G. Basham Pulstar EF-1 Pulse Plug, Pack of 2 I purchased these from Amazon for my 2003 Chevy Calalier. There were no problems with the installation and when I started the car everything sounded fine. Took it for a drive and then it backfired, started to sputter and the engine died. Finally limped it home, pulled the plugs and found the first one melted the tip and the porcelain is completely gone! So somewhere in my engine/exhaust is the remains of this plug. The other 3 had turned a dark blue so would have soon followed the first. Very dangerous to your motor! I would try to get my money back, but I may need them to get my engine replaced later on in court!
These plugs are well worth the money July 22, 2008 Douglis Fletcher (Webster, NY) I installed EF-1's in my 2006 Mazda MX-5 a few months ago and have not only increased my horse power, the torque curve has lowered aprox. 300 rpm's. After installing the plugs, my average mpg has gone from 29 to 35. I did a lot of research be for purchasing the plug, I was using iridium racing plugs, these plugs really are living up to what they are saying at Pulstar. With the cost of gas these will pay for them selves quickly.
Huge improvement in milage and power! June 13, 2008 Christopher E., Pauls I installed these in my 1991 Honda Civic several months ago and have had nothing but excellent results. I keep meticulous fuel economy records on the car, and after installing the plugs, my average mpg has gone from 36 to 39! Additionally, there is a marked improvement in power. My little Honda with almost 200k miles on the odometer spanks my buddy's with almost half the milage of mine. These plugs were a gamble for me, but one that has really paid off. Pulstar does live up to its hype.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE PLUGS June 10, 2008 D. Woerner 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased these from Amazon for my 2007 Pontiac Solstice. There were no problems with the installation and when I started the car everything sounded fine. Took it for a drive and then it backfired, started to sputter and the engine died. Finally limped it home, pulled the plugs and found the first one melted the tip and the porcelain is completely gone! So somewhere in my engine/turbo/exhaust is the remains of this plug. The other 3 had turned a dark blue so would have soon followed the first. Very dangerous to your motor! I have sent these back and re-installed the factor plugs. So far so good.
