Fits mechanically OK. However, this fan has three wire connector, instead of the two wire on the Jeep GC 2001 and will not plug to the wiring harness. The JGC controls the speed of fan by DC switching (pulse modulation)on one motor winding. This device has two separate windings on the motor - power one and the fan runs at a fixed speed, power both - fan runs faster. I have cut off the connectors on the JGC and the new fan and wired the two fan windings in parallel. If you have some electrical skills OK, but if not, this is not for you. Four stars as it fits and I can use the car - the OEM replacement fan at the local dealer was a fortune!
