I bought this stuff to try to fix some long sratches on my hood. After testing it on a couple scratches, I returned it. The pens let out way too much primer/clearcoat for one scratch, then after all the sanding you have to do to make it smooth, the area around the scratch is very dull. The polishing compund does not work to completely re-shine the area and the final result is not good. Gets rid of the scratch though.

i would hope that this product does a really nice job. i bought it to do exactly what it's supposed to do (fix my scratches and such). anyway, my biggest qualm would be applying these things in the heat of the summer... they dry WAY to fast, to the point where it's too late to even whipe the stuff off. As you can probably imagine, winter would be the best time to do this. Just my advice! br / br /the results that I got were less than spectacular, so i can't comment on quality, but if you have the dextarity to do this yourself, go for it. This kit comes with just about everything you need... primer, putty (for those deep ones), sand paper, clear coat, and a wax of sorts to remove the sand paper scratches. all you have to do is buy your exact paint color seperately. I love duplicolor, i just got bad results due to my lack of skill... which is a HUGE problem in the heat, where this stuff sets up in VERY little time, and there's no "fudge factor." Please just do it in the winter!
