The Wrenching Details December 3, 2008 Everett A. Warren (Northeast PA United States) It's an adjustable wrench, pretty straight forward. br / br /Good quality, looks nice (first point is more important than the second, but there it is). br / br /It adjusts and holds its size better than other tools by major manufacturers that I've used in the past. br / br /Although I haven't used the grip in wet or cold environments, I imagine it would suit better in both of those situations. As it is, having the grip helps provide a better feel, if not more torque. br / br /Review cross-posted to cover the different sizes I've used (6", 8", 10").
I don't remeber ordering this item. October 10, 2008 Tony Bernhoffer (Toledo, Ohio) 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
MUst be UPS again. I do not remember buying this item,. I did buy two sets of screwdrivers, a set of 2 pliars and a real nice solid claw hammer like my dead dad usde to use when he renovated our fist home. But I do not think this item is in my utility box!
Does the job September 24, 2008 J. Tsai (Bellevue, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A really nice wrench compared to the simple forged all-metal ones. Very ergonomic and nice to hold. Also provides some extra grip in wet situations. br / br /
Very comfortable grip July 4, 2004 Bob (Big Bear, Ca United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Some of my tools were stolen and decided to replace the adjustable wrenches with the MaxGrip. The grip is rounded so when you really apply pressure it's much more comfortable than a standard adjustable wrench. The down side is they don't open up quite as far as a standard cresent wrench. But if you get the 8, and 10 you'll be happy. I really can't tell you how much more comforatable they are than a standard adjustable wrench. You'll need to try one out in a hardware store and I know you'll agree they are worth the price. I only wish they sold them in sets of three or four.
