Product Description
Tire the device that makes cars run and it is the crucial key to vehicular safety. Thus, every driver should be clearly informed regarding effective maintenance and regular tire checkups. The most important item of tire inspection is tire pressure. If the tire pressure is too low, the ??turning?? feature will be greatly affected. Meanwhile, fuel consumption may increase leading to tear and wear and great dangers may result. Therefore, drivers must regularly perform tire pressure checkups and pump air into tires as regulated. EverSmiling Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has powerful and accurate monitoring functions that allow drivers to be in control of tire conditions and ensure vehicular safety. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has already passed the law stating that effective September 2007, all vehicle types including trucks, buses, family cars, and RVs should be equipped with ??Tire Pressure Monitoring System, TPMS)?? The main purpose of this system is to warn drivers when tire pressure is low so that dangerous driving under inadequate tire pressure can be prevented. NHTSA provides two options for car companies in compliance with the regulations namely: Pressure-Sensor Based TPMS (PSB TPMS) (Direct Tire Pressure Monitoring System) -and Wheel-Speed Based TPMS (WSB TPMS) (Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring System).

5 out of 5 stars Super Device   August 28, 2008
T. Malinowski (Monsey, NY, USA)
Device is working super and shows very closely the pressure of all tires(even the temperature). I have new tires and new wheels so the device is irreplaceable fo daily usage for my car. Only this company has this device, so is pretty expensive, but It is totally worth it!:)

2 out of 5 stars Well Made But Not Very Accurate   May 2, 2008

The Nikko Tire Pressure Wireless Monitoring system - was shipped quickly and arrived well packaged.

The Unit appears to be well made. And setup was super easy - you just insert the included batteries into the sensor caps and screw them onto the existing wheel valve stems.

I was able to get sensor readings from all four sensors with no problem from inside the car. The sensor caps - weigh 11grams.

My major complaint - which is why I returned the unit - was the lack of accuracy of the sensor caps.

The manual states that the sensor caps are accurate to +/- 0.5 psi.
Using two separate digital tire gauges that I have (which I know are correct & match readings) - I found out that 3 of sensor caps were Low by 4psi & one sensor was off by 5psi. Thats a little to far off the mark for me so I sent them back.
