4 out of 5 stars Bosch ICON Wiper Blades   December 19, 2008
Nicholas Hsieh
I installed the Bosch ICON 422A and 420B on my 2004 Chevrolet Malibu in December of 2006. They served through a relatively harsh winter (for Dallas) and record hot summer, and it wasn't until the end of 2007 that they started streaking a little bit. I replaced them in mid-December 2007 with Valero Ultimate bracketless wipers. The Valeros were cheaper, they are not quite as attractive, but more importantly, they started leaving single-line streaks within a couple months of use. This did not make them completely unusable, just a little annoying. The ICONs left my windshield noticeably clearer for a much longer period of time. The only significant drawbacks I have noticed are (1) high cost (about double that of traditional wiper blades), and (2) on GM cars with Wet-Arm(tm)--windshield washer nozzles attached to the wiper arm--the integrated spoiler prevents the washer fluid from being sprayed in front of the wiper as it sweeps upward. You still get even fluid distribution behind the wiper, though.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Product   December 14, 2008

This is a great invention, and even though the site [Amazon.com] suggested that it could not fit my car [JDM Honda Accord] I still went ahead and bought it, as once you have a wiper blade with the hook at the end it will work. br / br /On serious complaint though, for a product that is no more than 25" long, why was it packaged in such a large box, I ended up having to pay an oversize fee to get it to Jamaica, a cost which makes it prohibitive to buy again in the future if it is gonna be packaged the same way. br / br /Aside from that one complaint though, it was great service and a great product, works like a charm. br /

5 out of 5 stars WORKS WELL WHILE NEW   October 11, 2008

Like any wiper blade they dry out over 3-6 months. It works much better than other standard wiper blades based on performance, but durability is similar to other cheaper models. You are paying for performance here.

4 out of 5 stars Shows Promise   June 9, 2008

Easy to install and seems to clean the windshield well. Not sure how long they'll last yet. Much better initially than the other brand that I tried with a similar design (single spring-steel piece instead of traditional trellis.)

5 out of 5 stars A great wiper, finally!!!   March 26, 2008

Not only does the Bosch Icon wiper do the job, it does it well, and quietly! After spending more money last year for a different set of "premium" wipers, I thought the more I spent, the better. Not necessarily. Those were excellent wipers as far as clearing the windshield but they were so noisy, we hated using them! I finally broke down and decided to try these Bosch Icons since they're rated to be quieter than most and high quality. They are slightly more expensive than cheaper brands at your local department store, but if you buy them from Amazon, you'll be quite pleased with the value, quality and the quiet operation - now we don't even hear that they're on!
