These ultra-bright, street-legal bulbs ease the challenge of night driving by making it easier to see farther down the road. According to the National Safety Council, automotive related death rates are three times greater at night than during the day. With the NightHawk bulbs lighting the way, you'll drive safer and with greater confidence. And since these bulbs are just as easy to install as any other replacement bulb, you can reap the benefits of NightHawk's intelligent bulb technology within a few short minutes.p table align=left width=200 cellpadding=10 tr td img src="http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/stores/auto/detail-page/B000H2FCAE-1.jpg" border=0 align=topbrbrsmallibThe ultra-bright, street-legal GE Nighthawk bulbs ease the challenge of night driving by making it easier to see the farther down the road. /b/i/smallsmallib /td /tr /table table align=right width=150 cellpadding=10 tr td img src="http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/stores/auto/detail-page/B000H2FCAE-7.jpg" border=1 align=top /td /tr /table NightHawk bulbs are designed for all drivers. Whether you're an automotive do-it-yourselfer looking to upgrade to the latest lighting technology, or a casual driver simply seeking the brightest GE bulbs available, the NightHawk delivers by putting more light on the road in areas where you need it the most. Using a robust filament and a refined, xenon gas composition, Nighthawk produces an average 30-percent more luminance than GE's standard original-equipment halogen bulbs. Plus, with the vast range of the NightHawk product line, 95-percent of cars and light trucks on the road today can benefit from GE's new bulb technology.p More and more time is spent in vehicles, both for business and pleasure, so brighter bulbs and better vision can make a big difference. If you're looking for more light, greater visibility at a distance, and improved driver confidence, then look no further than the GE NightHawk automotive replacement bulbs.p bAbout General Electric/bbr GE Consumer and Industrial spans the Globe as an industry leader in major appliance, lighting, and integrated industrial equipment systems and services. A Real Bright View April 18, 2008 Patrick Forbes (Toronto, Ontario) A noticeable difference and am quite happy to have them and at a great price. Too bad I had to have them shipped to my mom in Florida and wait till she visited us here in Toronto to get them.
GE Nighthawks lights March 18, 2008 Donald E. Ash (Central West coast of Florida) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have run Silverstar lights for 2 years,, and have switched to the GE Nighthawks which is a far better light for night driving in all conditions
OK bulb, not sure they are worth the money November 11, 2007 Larry K. (San Jose, CA USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased a set of H1's and 9006's. I've written an unfaltering review of the H1's. br /Unlike the H1's which I will probably return, the 9006's were installed in a car. I replaced 1 bulb and compared to the remaining OEM Sylvania bulb and did notice a slight (but real!) increase in brightness with the NightHawk. The OEM bulb was fairly new, so I don't think age was a factor in the results. br / br /Note that these are CLEAR bulbs. Don't expect a noticeable change in color compared to regular halogen bulbs. I've read that GE is going to release a Nighthawk "Sport" version in late 2007 that has a "whiter" (bluer) light for those who prefer it. Or, you can get Sylvania Silverstars. Just don't expect them to last very long.
Difference is Not That Significant December 15, 2006 RR2004 (Seattle, WA) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have a 1992 Toyota Camry. I was about to take a long trip so I thought I should replace both of the original halogen bulb because it might burn out during the trip. I purchased a pair package of bulbs. At first I replaced only the left bulb, then I turned on the lights to compare the difference between the GE Nighthawk and the original 15 year old halogen bulb on the other side. The GE Nighthawk appears to be about 10% brighter. The light is also yellowish, not white, and is only slightly whiter than the original bulbs. The difference in brightness could possibly be due mainly to comparing a new bulb against a 15 year old bulb, because halogen bulbs tend to get dimmer with age. Overall, I don't think it was worth paying a premium price for this bulb, about double the price of standard halogen bulbs. br /
